Anyone else recovering more smoothly than expected?

i had my daughter in october 17th 2010 n now 4 months on i am still not healed as wen i left hosp my section split n got infcted twice wen i was in hosp no nurses kept an eye on my wound n it was onli a week after havin my section that a midwife realised n i had been hom 4days, wish i would of had it that easy as i really want 2 take y daughter swimming x

i hardly touched my morphine pump and they ended up taking it of me and gave me a box of 200 panadol, which i have only used a tray or 12...i was going for walks the day we got let out, which was 8 days later, and driving at 2 weeks. didnt have any problems and the pain was no where as bad as i expected

This was my first baby, I went into labor at 10pm and had my baby at 2am... The most noise I made was a few louder "ows" I didnt even realize that I was having contractions only reason i even went into hospital was cause I was bleeding...
I pushed 8 times and she was out.... and hour and half later I was taking a shower, and walking down the hall to get my own ice chips... I bleed for only 5 days... and all this was pretty much painless :)
VERY easy birth and afterwards. I do feel bad because my friends and family have had horrible birthing experiences... to where mine was just fast and painless. JUST feel lucky tho. prob wont happen the next time :p

its good to know that you recovered fast. I had a case of prolonged labour and had a C-section but was released after almost a week fromt he hospital.Still for almost a week I could not walk properly.But now after a month am finally back on track.......with some people its not so smooth.So gear up and smile nothings bad going to happen.Smile away :)

I felt straight after the birth of my second son that I hadn't even given birth. No pain, no nothing. Was in labour for 6 hours and pushed for 5 minutes. Labour was no so bad either (just the last 45 minutes was a bit tough) Have lost most of my baby weight - most of which I lost within 4 days. Feel a bit guilty but just goes to show what a woman's body can do if needed. lol

I was pretty low maintenance with this pregnancy too.( my 2nd) was back to work after 4 weeks. good thing my baby can work with me as for i'm self employed.

Guilty? Stop it right now!!! :) You're one of the lucky ones. Be thankful and move forward positively. No time for guilt in babyland.

With my first it took a little longer to recover. But this time I signed myself out of the hospital that morning and was just fine. My daughter was premature so she was in the NICU that's why i left early, So I could spend more time with her.

I felt the same with my now 3 week old. I had a csection in my first pregnancy but with my 2nd daughter I had a vbac, and after giving birth at 5am on Tuesday morning, I was walking around again at 7am, and discharged from hospital at 9am. The following Monday I was back at uni to the surprise of my lecturers. Now 3 weeks on and no one even suspects that I just popped a baby out of me lol, so I definitely know what you mean!!!

I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed for 2 1/2.. I was up and walking around a couple hours later and I was discharged from the hospital less than 48 hours after having my son and I lost all my pregnancy weight (50lbs) before I was discharged. I don't really feel guilty but I do feel akward when I'm around my friends who had their babies a year ago and still look 6 months pregnant.

know what you mean... i have had two c-sections before and recovery was bad but this time i was up and about and it has been real easy... i too have been waiting for something to go wrong but glad too that it's not the nightmare i was expecting. best of luck to you :)

i was apparently the most low maintenance person on the ward! I've got two other kids in the house - not recovering well was simply not an option!
