Anyone suffering with a UTI or Kidney infection?

I wrote a huge comment back that obviously didn't get posted, but basically thank you for your advice ladies and it's my last day of antibiotics!!! Can't be bothered trying to remember everything! thanks again!! ANd anyone else who may need advice don't hesitate to ask!!!

I had a vaginal wall infection at 18 weeks. After a course of antibiotics and plenty of rest i was feeling fine and it hasnt happened again. the doctors told me that these kind of infections can lead to premature labour if they get really bad. Just listen to the doctors and take the medication they give you.

I have had a bad UTI early in my pregnancy and because of the anti-biotics (as usual for me) I ended up getting a yeast infection.

I was actually worried I had another. I ended up finding out that my body over produces while blood cells while I'm pregnant and my body dispels them by use of my vagina. So it ended up freaking me out needless to say. But dr. told me it was perfectly fine and I had nothing to worry about. Just some information to pass along to my fellow mommies.

First of all UTI's and Kidney infections are Horrible-pregnant or not! I had a bad UTI when I was about 11wks. The doctor gave me a prescription to clear up the infection that was safe during pregnancy. I honestly don't recall what it was, but it was a freaking life saver. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. Soaking in the bath without any soap can help to ease discomfort as well. These types of infections are fairly common in pregnancy. As long as you drink lots of water and communicate with your doctor you should be fine as well as baby. I'm 23wks now and my unborn son is healthy as can be. Good Luck

I had a kidney infection to, at 16 weeks. I was peeing constantly, and I had a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen, and chalked it up to being the pregnancy. Like, no duh I'm peeing all the time! I'm pregnant! But then when the pain started, they said it wasa kidney infection. I did a seven day regiment of Macrobid, which is safe during pregnancy and is specifically for kidney infections. I drank a lot of water and cranberry juice, and used AZO to ease the discomfort. Make sure you wear a pad tho, cause even moving too fast will cause leakage with that stuff! Everything is fine, my baby girl is progressing normally...just stay healthy and keep in touch with your doctor.
