I took the one hour glucose test last week and got a call on Monday saying I had failed and had to come in for the 3 hour test this week. This happened to me with my first pregnancy as well, and I did not have gestational diabetes... I'm still nervous though. Have many of you failed the first test and then had negative results on the three hour test?

I had the same thing happen to me with this pregnancy (my second)...I never had any issues like this with my first, but I failed the glucose test this time around and then passed the 3 hour one. My doctor just told me not to have a lot of sugar in one setting. and to give my body time to digest the sugar.

I passed my 1st 1hour GTT at 18wks, didn't pass the 2nd at 28wks and now I am waiting for the results of the 3 hour GTT. I don't have very high hopes that I'll pass it though, I have a glucose meter and my blood sugars are always a little higher than they are "supposed" to be. This morning 130 - they like between 70-110. So I'll find out monday if I passed or not.

I failed the one hour as well. In both my pregnancies, like you. Both times I have taken the 3 hour, and both times I am fine after the first blood draw. its just that very first one and its only over by like 2-3 points. which isnt very concerning at all. You should ask your doctor what your results were, that will probably help with the concern.
