Hey gals, I am going to be going to a black tie event with my hubby when I am 6 months along! I have a cute preggo black dress that hits at my knee, but I need advice on what kind of shoe I should wear with it. I really don't want to wear a heel because of swelling and stability issues. My husband is wearing a black suit with a crisp white shirt and a red tie. I was trying to figure out what would work with these things. Does anyone have any advice? I am not really the dressing up kinda gal so any advice would be much appreciated!! :)

i went to a wedding last saturday i wore 1.1/2 inch kitten heels they were a toeless slip on so i could slip them off under the table, i'm short and would usually wear a 3 inch heel's.

if i was you i would look for some shoes in black or red (to match your husband) with a red flower in your hair. x

I would go with a chunky heel...try looking for something in red that would match your husband's tie...flats would look cute too!!!

I'd suggest going to different shew stores and just trying on different black sandles and/or shews. Look for ones that feel like they have good support, if your swelling up you might not want to put inserts in your shews, and being on your feet you'll want comfort.

So far from my experience, a small heel, 1 to 2 inch is good for your back. Just make sure not to be on your feet before the event, put up your feet and relax. Wear a cute chunky heel and bring along a comfy pair of flats in the car so you can switch if needed. People usually understand that feet swell when preggo so don't worry too much about what others may think.
