Okay so I love unique names and he loves common names. I just cant see naming my daughter anything common and anything he picked out. I gave him a list of my top 5 names and he doesnt like any of them. I need a better way to persuade him to agree on a name without being a bitch. I dont want him to feel like he doesn't have a say in our daughters name but I cant see us agreeing on something we both love. My top 3 names are Leighton, Aislynn and Alba. Maybe some suggestions for girls names that are different?

my kids are named (girls) Bithiah, Aurora (boys) Lucian, Titus and we are naming this one Morgana Astrid. My husband really didn't like Astrid for a name buut i think he will suffer it he's had 6 months to get used to having to suffer it LOL!!! I give him the option of coming up with names but he can't come up with any better that i like so think he gets tired of having to think of new ones hahaha :)

Some great suggestions! I actually really like Lyra! I think were going to name her Leighton though. I love the name and he's getting use to it... =)

We unfortunately didn't get our girl this time around but we are into mostly irish names that aren't that common, but we had several picked out before the u/s. (I was convinced it was a girl this time)

Lyra, Caerdwyn (pronounced card-win), Arianne/Aurinia, and I can't remember the other ones we liked. We chose Rowyn Wade for this little boy but Rowyn can double as a girls name as can our other son's name Taryn. Hope you find a great name! Good luck!

We've decided on Lanah (proun. LANA), but our other top picks were Chelsea and Bianca.
Another tactic is to agree on a more universal first name and unusual second name - when your daughter gets older she can pick which one she goes by and its perfectly legal. Or perhaps try a plainer more traditional name with a bit of a twist on the spelling.... that's what we did.
I wanted Alannah and he wanted Lana --- so I agreed to Lanah!

p.s. We have a 2 yr old daughter named Ava Lee. So I wanted something that sounded good with her name.... His name is Lee so I was thinking of putting his name in it somehow. Maybe Aisley, which he doesnt like either. ugh so aggravating.
