My son is mixed (black white and lebanese.) My hair is very curly and frizzy. His dads hair has waves as well. My son is 3 months and his hair is curling a lot at the top but is bone straight at the back! Could this be from where he's on his back most of the time? When will his hair all become curly? Oh, and one more thing, can someone please tell me why his knuckles and private area are darker than he is? Thanks ladies!

It's just too early . . . his hair is still "baby hair" and will change over time. My daughter is black/white and her hair is now closer to my brownish/blond color, and the texture of mine, but curly from her Dad. My guess is your child will be the color of his darkest areas (they say the tips of the ears sometimes show the color too). I'm sure no matter what he will be adorable and wonderful!

my guess is that some of his body parts are darker than the rest of him because his skin will get darker as he gets a bit older. I was born pink, i am half white and half black. and my skin colour now is a light brown. the hair thing could be because he sleeps on it and that keeps it straight, my daughter, her hair got curlier as she got a bit older.

My kid's fathe is native american. and i am white lol.. my kids took my traits light skin.. light hair.. but my son does have the darkening on his testicals.. well to b honest so does my husband. idk wat it is.. but my kids were born with black hair. and my son now has light brown Straight hair.my daughter I think is gonna keep the black hair.. I think you should just wait it out.. I think their hair changes. my hair was really straight when I was a baby.. now it's wavy. if it bothers you maybe you can figure out a way to fix it up.. good luck.

You'r baby's hair will continue to change for a few years still. My son had dark hair and it's now much lighter. My 3 month old has a bald spot in her back from rubbing on the floor, it's normal.

Honestly I think you'll have to wait until he gets older and see. Most of the time kids take the dominant traits ( dark skin, dark hair, brown eyes ) but there are a very few that take the resesive traits ( light skin, light hair, and blue eyes ). Both of my kids were born with dark skin and black hair. But my oldest now has really light skin and blonde hair while my youngest still has dark skin and black hair. I think it all depends. I wouldn't worry about it right now. His hair and skin color will most likely change and even out after time.

His hair will eventually take it's nature as he grows! Don't worry to much about it, before he's 8months-a year hell have his curls! and if his father or any primary relative is darker he might grow into his color too.. He's likely to be the color his knuckles are. :)
