My son did that for a few weeks then I realized (never having done this before) that he had a bad ear infection. We got the ears cleared up and he hasn't done it sinse.

Are you sure it's the cars eat? Or is it just when the seat is in the car?

i distract my daughter who is EBF with a sippy cup wth water she loves o hold it and practive putting it in her mouth and drinking!

My son will be 5 months on the 14th & he cries at first when i put him in it but once we start moving he quits if we stop he cries again on & off type thing other than that he doesn't cry the whole time he's in it

i have the same problem but lyssa screams till you either get her in the car or until her daddy starts talking to her...idk what it is. i have adjust her straps i have talked to her rocked her everything thing i can think of but its seems only thing to get her to stop in the car or her daddy.

We actually had that same problem and I moved the harness straps up a bit - turns out she was a little squished in the seat. Now she ends up falling asleep in the car seat.

Honestly, the thing that worked the best (and the quickest) was to completely ignore the crying. It seems like, with my kids at least, that when I try to get them quiet it only drags on the screaming longer... So, with my current baby (Oct 11), I just completely ignored him when he screamed in the car at first. Yeah, sometimes it would last most of our trip (10-15 minutes), but he got the idea and now he falls asleep without a peep.

Hmm..that is a good point!! She falls asleep every night on my breast so perhaps thats what it is.. It just started recently but you know, now that you say it.. She calms down IMMEDIETELY when we get in the house, and as soon as I offer her the breast, shes asleep within minutes.. How did you get your children used to falling asleep on their own? Any tips that I could try?

Hmm... Could she just want your attention? I know my son is more social these days and is happier when my other two kids are riding in the backseat with him. Also could she just be tired and trying to go to sleep? Is she used to falling asleep on her own or does she require some soothing (like rocking, or nursing)? All three of my kids screamed and screamed in their car-seats until the learned how to fall asleep on their own... But, if she's not out around nap time that likely wouldn't be the problem. Hmm... tough one.
