I think my husband brought home a cold from work, and now all 3 of us are sick. Do you have any good cold remedies for my husband and I, and our 2 yr old son?

In a nutshell, rest, rest, rest, plenty of fluids, zinc lozenges, vitamin C, echinacea, more rest. Plus try garlic, ginseng, and vitamin D. For more info see http://www.nutritioneclinic.com/2013/03/...

yeah, there is a saline drop for kids. made by a company called "little noses" and though he won't love it...it will clear out the nasal passages without drying them out. also, it really is the best solution for adults. i do it every week no matter what. i haven't had a head cold since feb 2008 when i started doing it. which was really new for me. i would get sick multiple times a year...haven't ONCE since then. gets a lot of nasty germs out of my respiratory system.
on the honey. i have heard conflicting reports on that, but the most consistent one is NO honey until age 4. i have read that the most and they were "scholarly" articles...meaning written by physicians. not opinion, based in fact and mostly having to do with allergies. i would steer clear of it. the only downside is that a TON of remedies...especially hoalistic/natural ones...use honey to sweeten their serums and tinctures. so...it will say RIGHT on the box. that it isn't to use on a child younger than X amount in years. always read the box...

Thanks Jennifer. I don't think I'll be able to get my son to try the saline rinse, but the honey may work. Can you give 2 yr olds honey?

A saline rinse for nasal passages works wonders for adults. If you can get your child to do it, it would help. I give my son a spoonful of honey before bed for a sore throat.
