My sister who has no children think that moms should be with their kids all the time, I mean you wanted to be a parent, right? that is what she says to me. I am asking don't you think working moms need some time to themselves sometimes too?

OMG! Me time is so important! For example; My husband is a stay at home dad & goes to school. I work as a claims rep for an insurance company for 40-50 hours a week. We make sure that he gets time "away" (quiet time to play his RPG games) & I get time to do whatever. It's amazing how refreshed we both feel afterwards :-) Unfortunately this is something that your sister won't understand until she is a mom.

I need me time, and my daughter needs time away from me too, it will help her when it's time for school, not to be used to me allways being arround.

Go tell her to spend all her free time with your mom, then.

Thank you so much ladies...I also love seeing or coming home to my son after I had some time by myself. I thought I wasn't the only one that thought this.

My son is 11 and without the "me" time I've taken over the years I would have hurt him by now. lol You sister has no clue what she is talking about so ignore here. I get really irritated by people that doen't have kids giving advice. It's like a engineer telling a doctor how to do surgery. Everyone in life needs time to themself. Even your sister with NO kids needs time to herself.

I think ALL mom's should have time to themselves.....even if it's just an hour or two once a week to go to the grocery store alone. We all need a little peace and quiet, especially when the children are young. I find it helps me keep my sanity and I enjoy coming home to my son after I've been a way a few hours.
