Are you cooking for everyone or is someone else hosting?

Have everyone bring a side, that way your only concern is the Turkey and drinks. You can even have others bring desserts as well. You could probably manage Turkey and another side (stuffing/gravy) My biggest fear wasn't the food but the house! Cleaning and setting table and making sure everyone feels at home and has a place to sit. If its mainly family that your having over then DONT SWEAT IT!! They (like your bro) will be more than happy to help. Most of all, relax and make sure you eat right along with your guests... I hate hovering hosts!!

Yes, I am hosting this year for the first time and am a little stressed about it, but my brother and sister-in-law said they'd help out. Thanks for your post, Celeste!

Thank goodness for grandparents (our parents) they still host Thanksgiving so my family and our siblings families don't have to host. We do help out by each providing a side or dessert and of course clean-up falls to the children (right now thats still us because our kids are to young) The only unfortunant thing about our families is that there are 3 of them to attend in the same day! We are never very hungry for the last 2 and always feel bad about not eating much, but its about the time together and not the food (dont tell my husband that!) so anytime we get with the families is wonderful, stuffed or not! Are you hosting Thanksgiving? If so, is it your first time? It can be scary and fun but if you have help its managable! Good Luck and have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
