Finding a good daycare!!

Hello Everyone,

I have just recently started looking for a daycare/home care to send my baby to when I go back to work. I am a fairly newcomer to Ottawa and don't really know where to start looking.

I will be working in Ottawa West but live in Richmond, so am looking for somewhere in between here and there.

Any suggestions are more than welcomed!!

I am now doing Daycare in Barrhaven. I lived out in Richmond for 15 years and now in Barrhaven. I have a 21 month old daughter and caring for a 1 year old right now. I am looking for one more.

Have you put your name on the centralized waiting list? You can do it online from the city's website.

Hi Amber,

On facebook there are a couple of good groups for daycare. I found my son's sitter through daycarebear.ca and couldn't be happier. It's home based but it offers you different things to help narrow your search.
