Hello, my name is Renee, I am 31 years old and proud mom to a 7 year old and a 2 month old. I follow the Roman pantheon, and although I am not a Reconstructionist, I do lean more towards Romana Religio or Terra Nova with a lot of Unitarian Universalists leanings.

I am proud to be a Pagan (hence joining this group) however, I believe in keeping things low-key. I don't like others pushing their religion on me, so why would I do it? My eldest knows that there are thousands of Gods and Goddesses, but rather push a particular ideaology, I teach him the importance of morality and ethics (it's the Stoic in me).

I guess that is me in a quick two paragraph nutshell :-)

I'm 36 and mother to two adopted children ages 2 and 3 years. I was brought up with an non-specific earth-based spirituality with leanings toward Norse, Greek and Native American traditions. As an adult I embraced the term Pagan because it best describes our beliefs and practices. I have also taken to celebrating the sun Sabbats, as the only reason that my family did not do this before was lack of information. I have integrated Celtic, Romani and Hindu pantheons and traditions into our family practice as well as the others mentioned above, as those are represented in our family ancestry (including the adopted ancestry). I am eclectic in that I have done a lot of research and put together rituals and traditions that made the most sense to me. I wanted to have more solid traditions than I was brought up with, as those were often vague and secretive. I spent many years as a young adult feeling uncomfortable and having a hard time explaining to friends what my spirituality was. I didn't want to say that I was an atheist and yet I had never heard of anyone who shared beliefs like those of my family and our small circle. Because my parents never used a name for what we believed, I was left feeling rootless and vulnerable. I want my children to know very clearly who they and what my spirituality is called, whether they ultimately follow it or not. I'm proud to say I'm Pagan, now that I have a name for it, but I treat it much the way others treat their religions. I don't discuss it with strangers unless there is a reason.

Hello All!!

I am 24, have a little girl named Lylith who will be 3 in November & a little boy named Taven who will be 4 in November. I am eclectic Pagan but very into science. Strangely the science I am exploring- namely biology and astronomy, has pretty much solidified my faith. I believe there is a consciousness behind the laws of science- many scientists believe this as well- and to me that consciousness is a balance of masculine and feminine and I prefer to refer to that consciousness by several names depending on what intent I am currently focusing on. Usually Juno, Apollo, Cernunnos or Brigantia- and hardly ever at the same time.
I am in West Virginia of the US and am seeking to draw together a local pagan community to nurture my children's spiritual paths.
I am a student of Environmental studies & Space studies and have a large personal and political agenda.
Look forward to meeting like-minded individuals all over. Local would be great too. (=

I am 22. I have two boys. I won't force them to believe anything. I will try to avoid having them preached to period, at least for another year or two. can't really avoid it after that. : / I can't really even avoid it now. Basically, I am a keeper of harm ye none (wiccan), though I don't know what "Reconstructionalist" is... anybody who is willing to tell me please PM me. I was taught without a lot of the terms of today. My craft began with he teaching passed down. They are in such a way as to allow you a choice in everything but to pass down the stories or not. You choose weather or not to believe if they are true or not. An old vow my ancestors made during the burning times when so much was lost.

I am open about it. I may or may not just come out and say it, however I also live in the bible belt. sometimes that is the only way to make them leave you ALONE and in peace.

Hi my names is Amy, I'm 19 years of age and a newly minted single mother of a wonderful 9 month old boy named Wyliam. I've been practicing paganism even a little wicca for 5 years now. I'm an all types of pagan gal, I'm more focused in the Celtic/Druid area. I started out in my life as a baptised presbrytirain but converted in '06 after I lost my bf Joseph. After he left I vowed to myself that I would try and help as many people as I could and I began looking into healing and I'm starting to regret not going into the medical field. I look very deeply into old celtic/druidaic healing methods as well as other methods in buddist, taoist, egyptian, greek/roman, native american, and christian. I plan on passing my methods and teaching the ways to my son so he can continue the faith that I hope he decided to join.

Hi, my name is Nateira and I am 27 years old, single mom to a beautiful baby boy born 3/13/10. I have always known I didn't really belong with the catholic faith as I was brought up with, but until I was about 15 couldn't figure out where I really belonged. Researching many religious texts to figure out my niche, I eventually came across Wicca. I officially converted when I was 17 and have been both a solitary (as I am now) and working within a coven. I now mostly consider myself eclectic pagan as I incorporate many different traditions into my practices. As I know the importance of finding ones own path and having support in doing so, I plan to teach my son of the many religions of the world and when he's old enough to really understand his decisions, he can decide what path he would like to follow.

Hello! My name is Leanne, I just joined (and have already posted a few times). I am nineteen years old and have a wonderful eight month old little boy. I have been interested in Paganism and Wicca since I was nine years old. However, since I grew up in a Christian home I had no way to grow and learn about it.. I started reading books and getting more into it when I was thirteen, I believe I am still learning and will continue to for a very long time. :)

I live in the Kooteney area of beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I would love to be able to chat with those close to where I live as well as those who do not!

Hi everybody! I'm Pilar, italian from Italy, with a Scottish husband and a 16m.o. son, Robert, we got legally handfasted last 15 of August in Scotland and live in the geographic center of Italy, Narni (yes it was anciently called Narnia and Lewis got his inspiration here) but I was born in Rome... not the best place to live but certainly awesome to visit =), being a pagan in italy it's a bit hard, very much surrounded by catholics and bigots (such as my mum and others) but since we moved here I haven't practiced big style yet so at the moment the neighbours still like me...they did wonder why my son was not baptized and made wide eyes at the pictures of my wedding but they kept their comments to themselves and only asked questions... =) Still young and learning my path, been off and on it with the practice and study but always been on it with my heart and soul. Hoping to find new friends, advices, ideas, help in my path and hoping to be helpful too =)! Keep me in mind for a holiday in italy, soon we'll have a spare room ;)

hey all. my name is Lee and i'm openly, though quietly, pagan, with strong wiccan leanings. i have two small monkeys...er, i mean children.. and and my SO is also pagan, though on a different path than I. we plan on raising our kids faithful to and respecting nature, and intend on homeschooling them for that reason (among others, of course). i'm always interested in meeting others with similar leanings, particularly as i don't always feel strongly educated when it comes to Paganism or wicca.

I'm Laura. I am 24, about to turn 25 and expecting my first baby due August 23rd.

I consider myself Wiccan and have been studying Wicca and other Pagan religions for many years. I think I started learning and studying Wicca when I was around 12-13. I am currently studying the Correllian Tradition through a book called Witch School by Rev. Donald Lewis-Highcorrell. I want to raise my children with many Wiccan principles and my husband plan on adding some Christian aspects since he is a no longer practicing Christian.

I'm glad to find this group because in the area where I live there are not a lot of people who share my views and its nice to have someone where to go where there are others who understand.

Hi, I'm about to be 31 this month and have been a practicing pagan since I was 15. I am a mom of two boys, 10 and 3. I do not follow any specific tradition, I do what I feel in my heart. My magickal sister and I have been practicing together since we were kids, then read the books. It funny how as children we knew what to do in a ritual, without reading about it first. It just fit together for us naturally. I take that lesson with me when it comes to teaching my children about being spiritual and connected to the universe around us.

I'm twenty, and five months pregnant with my first. I'll be twenty-one in may. I've been a Spiritualist/Pagan for as long as I can recall -- I found the name for what I felt in sixth grade. I'm from a home of we're-all-born-to-die types. Thankfully, my boyfriend of four years thinks along the lines that I do, with heavy Buddhist leanings. I prefer the Female and Male idea of nature - specific names for specific areas. I'm running more on intuition than anything taught, I suppose. We are considering being selfish and having the baby endure a "paganing" to introduce her to the elements and such, but we are set on having all of our children find their own way regardless of what we practice. It's going to be amusing to say the least when they start asking why mommy has a blue rose tattooed on her leg- with wings, and three cresent moons or why daddy has funny squiggles on his wrist. I'm rambling, but I thought I'd jump on the band wagon and throw myself out there. :)

Hey, my name is Kelly and I'm a 24 year old new mom. My baby boy, Garrett, is about a month and a half old. I like to think of myself as generically Pagan, though I tend to focus on the Celtic and Greek pantheons. I was raised strictly Roman Catholic and I always told myself that when I had kids I would help them to find their own way instead of pushing my way on them. I've also had a hard time breaking away from the faith I was raised with, mostly because my family members are very devout in their beliefs and unaccepting of my choice. I hope to teach my son, and any other children I may be blessed with some day, as much as I can about different religions, even those I don't agree with. I want mine to be a home of religious tolerance and unconditional support.

Hi all :-) I'm louise mother to Charlotte 5 & Harry 3. I'm openly pagan but not in your face (if that makes sense?) If people ask i will always tell them my religion but i don't scream it from the rooftops. I live in London in the UK and there are all sorts of different religions here so no one bats an eyelid. Although all the local kids do rather love my halloweens lol (something that's a bit new in the UK) I don't spout religion to my children although i don't shy away from any subjects, if a question is asked, it is answered to the very best of my abilities and if i don't know, i find out.

I was bought up as a Roman Catholic and have found it really hard to break away from that part of my life so i have found ways of incorparating it with my beliefs of now. My brother also practices. Although my brother is more strictly wiccan then myself, There really isn't a title for what i practise though lol. It's just a bit of this and a bit of that, i'll try all sorts and if it works and feels right i go with it. Religion to me is about instinct not rules.

Anyway there you have it. Me and mine.

Oh btw i'm the only person i know with a magazine subscription to Paranormal magazine and the NewScientist. That should tell you something rofl. xx

Hi *waves* my name is Zoe and i am 19 (20 this august). I'm an open Pagan who is expecting her first child in June (a baby boy). I focus on Nature Based throughout my Paganism but am always open to here new experiences and new sub-cultures to the faith. If there's anything worth giving a go, i'll give it a go.

I'm friendly and honest (perhaps a little too honest sometimes). I have friends who come from all walks of life and who worship all types of religion. Religion and Mythology are two of my favourite subjects to talk about, as well as science and scientific thinking ;)

My name is Sarah and I will be 30 this year. I am an openly Pagan step-mother of twin girls. My husband follows the Norse path, while I follow a little bit of a lot of paths. I worship Nature, but love all things Celtic and Native American! I do not believe in pushing my beliefs on anyone, but if I have something pushed on me, then I will push back. I do not mind having a discussion about it either! Because we both follow different paths, we do not push the girls to a single path. We will allow them to learn and explore their own way and if they choose to be Christian, then that is fine.

I'm Sheila,: I'm 48 years old and I've been a practicing pagan since I was a child. I started from intuition and a connection to the earth, and although I intergrate various disciplines, I would have to say that I still practice primarily in that mode-intuition, experience and connection. I primarily incorporate Native American, Egyptian ,Celtic, and yes, Christian beliefs into my practice. I practice openly, and although I don't have any investment in imposing my spiritual beliefs on others, I do enjoy a good philosophical debate sometimes! I'm fortunate enought to live and work in an environment which is, if not supportive, at least tolerant of my beliefs.

I am an openly public pagan, no broom closet for me. :) I have occasionally taught classes in the pagan community. I homeschool, and I'm a SpiralScouts leader.

Welcome renee.

I am glad to see we have some many different kinds of pagans here. I am an animistic pagan with heavy leanings toward the lakota way, known as the Good Red Road . It is the religion of my original Native North American ancestor and it is very much about respect for yourself, your comunitiy and all te creatures we share the planet with.

it embodies the concept as well that all things are imbued with 'spirit' from the srones and trees to bugs , horses and humans, plus everything in between. Which means of course they must all be treated with the same level of respect.

and thats my two paragraphs..

I would like to encourage everyone who is comfortable with the idea to introduce themselves in this thread.
