I'm a bit torn on the issue, personally. As far as the benefits go, I think it's great. However, I think it goes against some of the things I believe in religiously...plus it is costly. What do other Pagan moms think about the issue?

Great question! My opinion? Cord blood belongs IN the baby.
My Daughters were both home-birthed and we did not cut the cord until all the cord blood had passed to the baby. This was done for the sole purpose of giving my daughters a;; the protection they were In My Opinion meant to have..

I wanted to save my son's cord blood so badly when I found out about it.. We have some diseases in my family (one that my own mother has) that they are researching to be able to help or even cure!

Unfortunately I did not have the money, so I wasn't able to get it done. Hopefully with my next child I can.

Hi Myra,

personally i think its a good idea there a a lot of benefits i forgot all about it when i had my son, But at the end of the day you need to do what feels right for you.
