Anybody know how to find Spiral Scouts in the area?

A out-of-state Wiccan friend told me that she enrolled her Wiccan 7 year old daughter in Spiral Scouts. From what I understand, it is like a co-ed Boy/Girl Scout group that focuses not on religion, but on nature.

I tried to get information from my friend but she said that one of the members of her coven was a leader and hooked her up. I have looked online but only found a site that was SEVERELY outdated.

Does anyone have information? Or know who I can contact in Illinois for information?

Since there is none close to us, I found out about it from a Wiccan friend. The funny thing is that my (almost) husband and I are thinking about moving to Chatanooga, TN. There is only one circle in TN and it's in Chatanooga! I feel for you Jenna living in the Bible Belt. Katy, what kind of things should I expect from Spiral Scouts?

sorry that I don't know but fyi the spiral scouts are great wish we had a troupe closer to where we live. We came across it at the Savannah Pagan Pride Day (ppd) a few years ago

The site that I came across was http://www.spiralscouts.org/ The dating on the site says it hasn't been updated since 2010. Since we are almost in 2012, that bothers me! THere are only four "circles" in Illinois and the closest is a hour and half drive away. There aren't even any trains that go out that way! LOL! Maybe I should just start my own circle?

Which website did you find? I found spiralscout.org which led me to an out dated yahoo group. Looks like we're in the same position. I intend to keep searching different engines with variations of the organization and my state. Darn flighty Pagans.. lol ;) Of course the other possibility is they are trying to stay under the radar to avoid harassment. Curious.
