My husband and I have had ritual with my children a few times over the years they are currently 6 and 8. They have both loved it and my daughter (the 8 year old) loves milk and honey my son likes envoking nature. I couldn't help but wonder what some of you do and what your favorite memories are?

For Summer Solstice 2 years ago we had the kids stand with an adult and call the corners. I don't remember the specifics of each call, but North had a bowl of dirt mixed with tons of glitter and that was thrown into the air, Air had pinwheels the kids blew, Fire had sparklers saved for a NYE party, and Water popped a giant water balloon! The circle afterwards was definately short sweet and to the point, but all the kids still remember it and still talk about it.

Oh, and it also raised a wonderful amount of energy for the weekend. Being on the mountain that weekend just felt like having all the expectations and wonders of a child. We've got some good young witches up in MT!

We haven't had a formal ritual with our kids yet as they are under 2 and it's just to hard to keep them in one place and to keep focused on why we are there. But we give offerings outside often and we include them and they get to lay out whatever the offering is. And we started a little informal ritual of taking them out to look at the full moon. We look forward to when they are old enough to start joining us in circle but for now we share faith in less formal ways with the kids and save circle for the adults.
