What should she wear for a Little Miss Pageant?

I am coming up blank on outfit ideas for my daughters pageant this summer. I am planning ahead and not sure is i should choose a sundress with sandals or sweater and maryjanes ect. This is a small town pageant to become Little Miss (towns name). My daughter will be going into kindergarten. If anyone has some suggestions for me i could use them dearly.

what are the dress code rules?, is it in the south or north, i know i would never choose a sun dress and sandals for anything other than a casual wear category for my daughter, is it glitz or natural? is it just beauty or is it swim and casual too?
