Sara, I honestly didn't read the link. I read an article about this topic earlier, and it quoted $23/serving for the ice cream. I joked with my husband about opening our own home business...all breastmilk dairy products. Very low overhead! =)

Slightly off-topic, but many adults are turning to breast milk to help battle cancer. They are finding it's helpful with other diseases as well (I believe arthritis is one). So some adults are using breat milk.
Sara, the price they list in the article is what they pay each donor for every 10 oz. I could've made $824 with the milk I donated lol. I think I will stick to donating to milk banks though. However, I do have an ice cream machine. Not enough milk right now due to pregnancy, but maybe when baby #2 comes in July... If it were available in my area I might try it. Don't know if I could eat it by the gallon though.

Personally don't see any reason for it, but to each their own!

I would make ice cream from my own BM. I wouldn't pay the $23 for it though. If I could have a sample...why not?

Personally, I would not. In my opinion, breastmilk is for children. Adults don't need it.
