I don't think little girls should ever wear make up apart from for playing - my 9 year old and her friends will put make up on each other sometimes but never to out the house. I was watching a programme the other day about a 12 year old who spent 2 hours making up her face before she went to school but it was because she wanted to look like the models in the magazines - once she was shown that every image she saw was actually computer enhanced she realised that there was no way she could ever look like them and stopped wearing make up and was happier with herself - little girls don't need make up to look pretty, only us oldies need it to cover up our bags and wrinkles.

Heather, regardless of the lingerie line story being a hoax...that little girl dresses like a tramp! That Halloween costume is inappropriate for even a highschool student in my opinion. And the amount of makeup she has on is pretty gross too.

Okay,I just looked at those pictures and am confused. It says lingerie,But they look like Halloween caricatures. It is a sad day when children are being told that is good or what ever they say to get them to wear those ridiculous clothes.Well I have three girls and they will never wear anything of the sort,By my choice or theirs.I think they would view that S@#T as costumes(I Hope)lol. My oldest has her own fashion sense and my two others make fun of the ridiculous display windows that have similar clothing for adults. But it definitely is for the money,And that is disgusting.Well as consumers we have the say in what stays and what goes as long as there are more nays than yeas I wouldn't worry. On the other hand a lot of women follow(wanting to be famous themselves)So we'll see.And Melissa your not a prude I don't like bikini's on little girls either. There's something to be said about being old fashioned,At least were sane.

Haha.. Gillian :)

Cathy, nobody said you did agree with 8 year olds pole dancing. I understand that kids in show business will be wearing some make up, for lighting and things, but I personally don't think it should be makeup that LOOKS like makeup (meaning they have on powder and blush, maybe some lipgloss and that's pretty much it). But some of the girls were wearing makeup and you could tell.. I just don't think that's right, but that's just my opinion. But I agree with you that the parents should be making sure it doesn't corrupt the kids in any way. And you're right, sadly Noah's parents aren't and unfortunately they aren't the only ones.

[deleted account]

The point I was trying to make was that children working infront of the spotlight are going to be wear make up of some sort, it just comes with the territory. If you don't want a child to wear make up then don't push them into showbiz. For those parents who have pushed or allowed their kids to get into that world, they have a responsibility to make sure that it doesn't corrupt their kids, they have to set limits ... something I think Noah Cirus' parents aren't doing a very good job of, and it's setting a bad example for other young girls.
And in no way do I agree with 8 year olds pole dancing!!!

Oh they're there unfortunatley - even got a few grey hairs too - not that you can see them thanks to a very good hairdresser!

I agree to a point.. I don't think it should be an everyday thing and I don't think young girls should be wearing garish makeup no matter what. But then again, young girls that are in pageants and are all made up (not all are wearing garish makeup in pageants) and it makes them look much older than they are. To me that would still be wrong for a young child to be all made up, even with just regular makeup on, b/c they are acting years above what their actual age is. My thing is, why can't some people just let children be children? Some people take it to extremes, beyond the "I want to play with mommy's makeup and play dress up" thing. I would think with young kids in the spotlight that the parents would be as protective as they can about their children and not allow them to wear makeup that makes them look much older than they are.

The make up in the other pictures is probably just the standard make used on everybody, man, woman or child for either a TV appearance or in a photo shoot. My only real objections to make up are that little girls shouldn't be wearing it garishly (whatever the circumstances) nor should it be an everyday thing.

Ok, I apologize, the boots weren't quite as high as I thought they were. But I wouldn't let my kid run out in any boots higher than the knee unless they were almost out of the house (and I do mean almost- as in so close that they are already moving their stuff out, almost). But knee high boots on a young girl.. I just don't get that.

And Noah's little friend is wearing makeup in all the pictures, not just the Halloween photo.

[deleted account]

Obviously I wouldn't let my child wear that on a daily basis but I don't see an issue with on Hallowe'en as long as there is proper parental supervision. There is a big difference between a little blusher to black eyeliner and red lipstick. I don't see an issue with the flat boots, knee highs and thigh highs I could but does don't really seem any worse than the boots I've seen kids wearing to school around here (and we have fairly strict uniform guidelines in the UK). Then again I'm an 80's reject, Madonna was all the rage when I was a child and so were rara skirts and cowboy boots so it doesn't seem like a huge transition!!!

Cathy, her friend IS wearing makeup. It's not as garish as Noah's, so it's kind of hard to tell when they stand next to each other, but if you look a little more closely and block out Noah with your hand, you can tell. And the flat boots are practical, however the height of the actual boot- not the heel- is what sets me off. And the clothes would be a pedophiles dream, for sure. That's not something that needs to be on a young girl, IMO.

[deleted account]

I think her friend in the ladybird dress looks quite cute. Flat practical boots and no make up. She still looks like a little girl. It's the hooker boots and heavy make up that look disturbing on Noah!

Well, its only KIND OF a hoax. In that there is a slutty clothing line for kiddies......to make your little angels as slutty as Noah Cyrus, a child to aspire to...... The only thing that was a hox was that Noah had nothing to do with the design of the clothes, and there is no lingerie. But seriously, it may as well be lingerie because I'd still never buy it for my daughter....and if anyone else ever does, I'll use it as dish rags.

OMG! They look like little prostitutes! I cant believe the parents let them dress like that. That is just so sad. And they wonder why there is so many paedophiles out there!!

[deleted account]

Ya I'm not sure if that's a hoax or not but I wouldn't let my teenager dress like that! Seriously inappropriate. I mean when exaclty do you draw the line? I'm sorry honey your 13 now and you can't wear hooker boots anymore? LOL But I guess if you let your child dress like that you wouldn't have a problem with your tween dressing like that. Imagine how their going to dress when their teenagers? YUCK!

I have 3 daughters. And no way would I be allowing my girls to be dressing in these sort of clothes. Just totally inappropriate. My oldest daughter has just turned 11, and is the same height as me (I am 5"9 or 175cms tall) and her feet are bigger than mine. She has developed rather early and has to wear bras or supportive crop tops that I buy from KMart or Target. These are appropriate for her age, and are no way suggestive or even have a hint of lace and aren't at all see through. Trying to buy items that fit her and that are age appropriate can be a nightmare sometimes. But making lingerie and promoting them for pre-teen children is wrong. Young girls don't wear lingerie they wear underwear!! I will never in a million years understand why do people out there encourage really young girls to think that it is ok to look like older teenagers or adults? I don't know what her parents are thinking, maybe they forgot to screw their heads on straight! I am not begrudging the Cyrus family because of their talent and hard work, but seriously don't they have enough money!! And if Noah seriously wanted to pursue promoting and selling a lingerie line, why couldn't they wait until she was an appropriate age - like 18!

i can't believe someone would let their daughter dress like that. I don't even know what to say about that.

[deleted account]

There was huge outrage after that Miley picture/photoshoot. The fact that her parents didn't complain about that leaves me to believe the controversy is making them a tidy sum.
Billy Ray Cirus is living out his desire for fame vicariously through his kids. His one hit wonder career didn't get going so he's now happy to enjoy any level of celebrity they bring to him, even something as twisted as this. Disturbing to say the least!

its unfortunate but some parents only care about money. I dont even agree with little girls wearing bikini's, i must be a prude. LOL. The pedophiles in the world must be lovin it. Its so sad that people have to doing this to their own children to make a buck. Its sick.

OMG!! They look like little protitutes - I would die if my 9 year old ever pointed to something like that in a shop and said she wanted it.

Why are they trying to make their little girls grow up so fast? They are children for such a short time and adults for such a long time - let them be children while they can.

Plus it's giving the completley wrong message and makes them look sexual when it's years until they should have anything at all to do with sex - some pedafiles already say that young children are sexual being capable of making the decission to have sex - this makes them look as if they are right in my opinion.

Little girls should look like little girls not like cut down adults.

[deleted account]

Uggg! What were the parents thinking! All I can think of when I see that is how appealing that would be for a pedophile. It would be a cold day in hell before I dressed my girls like that!
