Laundry how much do you do?
We live in a duplex and share our washer and dryer with the downstairs neighbor. When she moved in we made up a schedule for it so we get it on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday and she has it the rest of the week. I usually will only do it once a week on Monday about 4 -6 loads but if by Thursday it looks like we have a lot I'll do it then too.
We use to live in an apartment where we had to pay to do laundry I would put it of until we had no clean underpants which would take about 2 weeks I would then have about 8 loads and it would cost $13 - $15. To save money we would sometimes take it to my mother in laws house or my parents.

I have a family of 3 and our laundry days are as follows. Mine: Monday,1 load, Jake: Every other Wednesday, 1 load, Mark: whenever he gets home (truck driver) 2 loads. Maybe one day this will change as Jake gets bigger and he starts wearing bigger clothes, but until now this works for us.

I absolutely despise laundry. But i do 2-4 loads a week. I am going to start doing it, a load a day. Like, darks on mondays, whites on tuesdays, colors on wednesdays, towlels and rags on thursdays, and linens on fridays. :)) let's hope i can stick to it! :))

I guess I win! I didn't think it was so weird how little dirty laundry we make a week.
We don't wash pants unless they're dirty....we aren't wearing socks now cuz it's summer, and all the clothes are smaller with shorts and short sleeves.
Maybe it's all my efforts to reuse stuff before deeming it dirty :-)
Save the environment! Save money! Reuse!

It's summer here, so laundry is less! I wash weekly, and I usually have 4 loads, and sometimes a half load also. But one full load is cloth diapers.
So for me and my husband, and our kids ages 1 and 3 we have 3-3.5 loads every week.
We fewer pajamas. Kids research clothes if it's not dirty, I sleep in my previous days shirt, hubby reuses sleep shorts, we reuse bath towels. We also have no napkins or paper towels, we use all cloth towels so those add up a lot in the kitchen.
I feel we have remarkably small amounts of laundry for a week!

My partner doesnt work so I wash whenever my uniform needs to be done for work (I work shifts), otherwise I try to do it all in one day, although recently I have decided to do a load every day or two and hang it up inside (we dont have a drier and the washing line is a hassle to get to as I have some medical issues that mean I am very lethargic and lack energy often and when I do have it I want to use it with my daughter.
I try to do at least one load every day. I babysit my neighbor's little girl 3-4 days a week while he is traveling for work and she adds to the daily amount with dirty panties, shorts and shirts. I sometimes go without panties so that cuts down on it a little bit but I never like to let it pile up where it takes days to get done.

we have a garbage bag with a couple work uniforms in it sitting by the front door. It's been there a month or two. I don't mind washing his uniforms but I need more hangers!!! He's paying for it, he doesn't need to wear the uniforms but why ruin his regular clothes. the kids think put your clothes up means throw them into your room, which end up in their dirty clothes

My hubby could have his work clothes cleaned through work too but they take forever to come back and its a hassle.
My potty trained 2 year old has decided to stop using the toilet and is now going through 3-5 outfits per day. I'm at my wits end with her now daily laundry load...and the cleaning up the rest of the mess.

Well we have a big family me my husband and 9 kids so I normally do 2 or 3 loads a day everyday. Lately it has been a little more since it is summer time and the kids have to change clothes and use a differnt towl every time the hop in the river. I would say our bare min is 20 loads a week.

At least 2 loads a day! My hubby's a chef, so his uniform is always stinky and I won't wash it with our stuff. The kids have their school/nursery uniforms and sports stuff that needs doing, aswell as 'home' clothes. I try to do a couple of hours dancing each day, so I've got sweaty sports stuff and regular clothes to go in. Then there's bedding and curtains....

A lot, I seem to have at least 1 full load everyday. The clean laundry very seldom gets put away however and seems to just rotate from clean laundry pile to dirty laundry pile...LOL. Im sure that will change as I am 9 months pregnant, working full time, going to school full time and have a 2 year old that I would rather spend time with then chores right now.

Once a month... LOL!!
I am serious though. We have one child. We buy tons of undies, socks, PJ's, under shirts etc to last for a whole month. As for jeans we buy about ten pairs and get two uses out of each until they need washing. No particular reason. The more you do laundry, the older your clothes look and smaller they get. You eventually have to buy more clothes because they become dingy or they shrink. So I rather buy enough for a month & ONLY buy more clothes once my son grows.

I do a load a day. We are on town water and it works out to about $40 a month. Now that it is summer my 2 little ones(2.5 and 11months) don't go through as many clothes. On days that we are home all day they just run around in their diapers. So not a lot of clothes from them. My husband comes home covered in grease, oil, bondo dust and auto paint, so i do have to wash his clothes every day just so he has clean work clothes. I probably could do it every other day and still be good but then I would have 2 loads.
Right now I'm potty training my daughter, so 4-5 times. But once the accidents die down a bit it should go back to 3 times. We are a family of 4 with both kids under 3, there is quite a bit from them. I wash bedding every other month most of the year and once a month in the summer when we sweat more at night.
We haul our water, but I still do the laundry a couple days a week and a couple loads at a time. My husband asked me not to do "marathon laundry" but rather do some every day. His laundry (outer clothes only) is done at work so I don't have that.
We did get a front load washer which saves on water greatly. Besides the fact that I can fill it with bigger loads than I could the top load. 3000 (imp) gallons lasts us about 6 weeks. We pay $165.00 per 3000 gallons and there are 3 and 1/2 of us. (My son is here only on weekends.) But I do the sheets approx once a week. Blankets a couple times a season.
The older the kids get the less laundry we have. But I can count on a set of clothes a day so it still adds up. I don't make the kids do their own because I need theirs to make some of the loads big enough to wash.
We are a family of 3 (dh, me, and 14 yo ds). I do 2 small loads (our clothes) and twos large loads (towels and sheets/blankets) a week. It would be 3 large loads if dh had more than 3 work shirts but his job only provides 3 for free. If he wants more, we have to buy them. Ds does his own laundry-one small load a week. How much laundry a family does depends on how members it has, the ages of the children, and what jobs the adults have. And it depends on how big the washer and dryer are.

I do 1-2 loads a day 7 days a week, about 10 loads. We rent and so we don't pay a separate water bill. If I don't do laundry for 1 day, which sometimes happens on busy weekends, we are backed up. We are only a family of 4 but my 6 month old is a puker, I have a crazy toddler and my husband works in a dirty factory, so we (they) dirty clothes fast.

i do washing laundry about every other day here , and i do roughly 2-3 loads each time so on average i do laundry 3-4 times a week and about 6 loads a week. we are a family of 4 of course 2 adults a 2 yr old and 5 yr old. i think its about average what we do

We do laundry probably about 5 times a week. My husband works at a stone quarry, and so can never wear the same work clothes two days in a row -- they're utterly filthy. Combine that with having a toddler, and it makes for a lot of laundry.
