Instead of attacking my every post why dont you uphold your own argument on if you agree about the abortion thing or not! and where im from i dont see street people on computers, the kind of street people we have bum around looking for money to buy booze. pardon me for not having the total Knowledge and experience you do for seeing different street people and what they do. and what computers they have access too.

OK, so it is ok that they get an abortion if they are some poor person on the street, but not if they can afford a computer to ask for advice. Just so I am clear that this is another exception to the rule of who can and can't have abortions.

Poor street people use computers in the public library. They are poor and homeless, but not illiterate.

im sure there are more out there. besides your missing the whole point of my post. im talking about girls that are just being careless,not people from Poor countries. if they can afford to sit on a computer and type up a post about OMG should i get a abortion im only 17 and i dont think i can afford it,clearly they have some money or live somewhere that has money if they can sit on a computer i dont see Poor street people on computers.

There is a difference between "not a lot of money" and "no money". There are many, many countries in the world who don't offer financial assistance and so the girls end up in the street. Would you deprive them of the option of abortion?

I come from a family that did not have alot of money growing up,and as a teenager getting my own place i struggled too, I know there are reasons why abortion is sseeked but i get tired,of the oh well it will cost to much money there are so many options out there to help those financially,im not necessarily saying this towards a family that already has 5 kids and cant bare another ,im talking these teenagers,17 and so that are pregnant with their first. the safe sex talk has been talked about religiously,the awareness is there so why should i have compassion for someone like that.

Good God, woman, where is your compassion? What about the abused woman who escaped her husband's beating and found out she was pregnant? Do they all deserve your judgement?



And how many people are aborting kid after kid after kid? I think you have been watching too much reality TV, because that simply isn't the case the majority of the time. It would be a very small minority who would do this - you make it sound like it is a common thing, and it simply isn't.

And obviously you have never been so down and out, Keli, that you could possibly understand and show some compassion.

Personally, I can't see money as a very good excuse for it either, BUT, I have never been in the unfortunate situation where money has been so scarce I can't feed my family, so sitting from that position, it is very easy to judge.

However, it is important to recognise that there are many, many people in this world who are unfortunate enough to be in a position where their families are starving, and the medical care alone, or the risk of mum not being able to work, would have such a major impact on the family that it would be devastating, so even having the baby and adopting it out would not be an option.

Again, I disagree. For others, money is a valid reason to consider a termination. Money for prenatal care, money for regular doctor appointments, lack of health insurance, hospital bills, finances to actually care for the baby once it arrives. Financial issues can spiral so out of control that it can lead to other damaging issues. While many women may chose to seek government assitance programs to help, others may not wish to follow that path. So I'll stand by my original response.

I respectfully disagree Keli. No one has teh right to tell me what I should or should not do with my body, including the decision to seek an abortion. This is my body. And if I was ever in a position to consider this legal medical procedure, than I am sure as hell gladd it is legal and available. For me, it would be completely an emotional/mental health issue and nothing to do with money at all. Unplanned pregnancies happen to women of all age groups. Abortion is not just for younger women. Would you prefer a women so distraught over an unplanned pregnancy that she attempts a self-induced abortion or committs suicide in your perfect world of illegal abortion?

the only way id ever consider abortion is if i were raped,any other reason just isnt acceptable. it may be Medically Legal but i hope one day it wont be.if the baby wasnt meant to be Nature would take it's course.

I wish people would take responsibility too when they have sex, but this is not a perfect world and unplanned pregnacies happen. Also, while you have your firm beliefs in abortion, others may not. Remember, abortion is a medically legal procedure and it doesn't matter your income. It's an option for any girl/woman facing an unplanned pregnnacy. For some women, it's more than just money if they decide to terminate. It's an emotional baggage, depression, instability, possible feelings of resentment. I would never want a woman to intentionally cause harm to her unborn baby because of money issues, or feelings of despair. So I will always support a woman's right to chose what is best for her at that point in her life. A legal abortion may very well be the best decision.

Abortion isn't the only option. There are lots of financially-stable families looking to adopt, you know. And if you think of raising the child as your "responsibility" that risks that the child will be very much aware of that, of being the burden or the consequence rather than the long-awaited joy.
