How about "this child will become the next notorious serial killer" And we show a picture of John Wayne Gacy.

I really doubt that video was made to be assumed as the representation of all pro-choicers.
And laci, both are as likely.

Why is it not ridiculous to essentially say *this fetus could be the next president* but it IS ridiculous to say *this fetus could grow up to kill thousands of people*? both are about as likely.

I'm pro-choice but dislike abortion and can't imagine ever having one. Obviously - to me, anyway - abortion is an undesirable thing and we should seek to reduce the rates, but I don't think the pro-life campaigns - usually bound up with religion - are the best way to do it. To me, the keys are education, support, availability of contraception, helping those who would consider adopting out and improving living conditions for poorer communities. Where abortion is illegal, such as in Ireland, you get cases of very young girls who have been raped by family members who are forced to carry babies to term - or seek abortion abroad - where those pregnancies can put their physical and emotional well-being in considerable danger.

As a mother who lost a baby at 29 weeks, I always feel ill when I hear of mothers using abortion in a blase manner as though it were contraception. On the flip side, a friend of mine pregnant with a baby with anencephaly who chose to induce labour at 20 weeks was told by friends that she should use her overseas trip to 'think over' her decision. For those who are unfamiliar, anencephaly is absence of a brain - it is incompatible with life.

There are usually some extremely ignorant and unhelpful comments from both sides of the fence in any debate on abortion. It will always be a tricky ethical issue because it involves the bodily rights of two people.

It's a clever idea, but I'm not impressed with Obama. And because he is pro-choice, I think that it's not as effective as it would be if he weren't.

i think it's cookey, but it is nice to see. i just don't know what message it expects to send to someone who is going to have an abortion though. there are much more pressing matters than whether or not their child will be the next president of the united states.

Sorry Stephanie but I agree with the other ladies....I think the video is naive and silly! I can't stand the pro-life ads.

Can't help but wonder if it's a pro-choice response or a Anti Obama response. I don't think his permission needs to be given for the use of his image (since he is pro choice I doubt he would give his permission for this video) I think their is some kinda clause about public figures when it comes to things like this.

Just found this one on youtube its the pro-choice response to the same add...

hmmmmmm idk...I like Obama...heck I will only ever vote for a Democratic president, no matter who it is...Obama would surly have to give his permission for them to use his image on the end of the original video right? I was under the impression that he was Pro-Choice...but I suppose like I and many others say: just because you are pro-choice does not mean you are pro-abortion...I suppose I like the message the OP sends but had he not been the first because his fetus was aborted there would have been another "first african america president" that they would have use an image of...
