Would you ever have plastic surgery?

So whoever is getting a breast reduction can you send some my way? Let's re-use the resources!
Before I would NEVER have wanted cosmetic surgery, but when I looked at myself in the mirror a couple of days ago- *sigh*- I want a breast lift and a boob job, lol.
They're like pancakes! I have boobs if I look at myself from the front, but they disappear if I look at myself from the side. I wear the same cup size, but I have to fold them into my bra!
My husband thinks it all hilarious.

Cool, I just found this after googling plastic surgery. I have augmentation scheduled for next month march 20th, but i recently went through having a nose job a week ago and then 5 days later when I got my cast off, I developed a hematoma/infection so I had to rush to the hospital and have the absecess drained. Yuck, I am pretty clogged up for a few weeks to go but the infection is under control (antibiotics) and I am reconsidering the boob job. I am in the stages of depression (having to sleep 45 degree angle for several weeks, little sleep, the infection, chaotic house and worse, not being able to breathe well through my nose. I am misreable and i know it will get better soon but have cried non stp lately because im still tired and have bruises under my eyes, look drugged basically. I think i want to heal first before i consider the breasts. My breasts went down even smaller after baby and i might just consider accepting they may always be that way cuz i dont want to go through this pain again! its scary! My husband loves me the way i am why cant I??? Plus my daughter 2o months always wants to be held so i may have to wait til she is older cuz i wont be able to hold her for several weeks after wards!!
I had lipo twice each on my lower butt and the back of my thighs--I can't remember what they call that....
I also do a yearly laser/chemical peel on my face, not sure if that really counts.
I seriously thought about breast implants, but with the clothing styles that are popular now I've recently become happy with my tiny little B cups.
I would also like rhinoplasy, but I saw a video of it once and it actually grossed me out so much I'm afraid to go in for the procedure. I know that's pathetic, but it's true. If I ever get the courage up, I'll fix my nose.
Yup.....I've had breast augmentation BEFORE I had my daughter! I wasn't planning on having children and I was 29 when I had them done! I also want to comment that I had absolutely ZERO problems breastfeeding so I was extremely happy!
Now, I would LOVE and plan to one day have a tummy tuck!
Besides that I'm pretty happy with myself!

Victoria..lol rhinoplasty isnt gross. Yes I looked funky at first with a splint, bruises and congestion but now its all gone down after a month. My nose looks FANTASTIC! I hated my nose before and it didnt fit right with my face and we had the funds so I went with it and im glad I did! It's well worth it!!
Victoria - posted on 02/21/2011
I think I would only get a cosmetic surgery if it were to cover up a horrible looking scar or if I had a broken nose with a displaced bone.
Breast lifts aren't all they are cracked up to be. Rhinoplasty is gross and usually unnecessary. I'm ok with a tummy tuck if you're uncomfortable with your belly. And as far as breast reduction surgery, if you are a really large girl, see if you can get it deemed medically necessary so the insurance companies will take some of the costs.
After assisting at a mammography center, I'm saying implants are more trouble than they are worth. They aren't really needed or necessary. But I totally understand if you're lopsided and just want to even out. otherwise- too much to worry about.
But as long as you're not going Joan Rivers crazy with it, what ever. Just remember growing older IS part of life. You can't be 20 forever. No do you want to be.
Merry - posted on 02/20/2011
In theory I'd love to fix my lopsided boobies. But in all honesty I don't think I'd ever do it.
I'm ok with wrinkles, sagging skin, stretch marks, and normal age related stuff like that. But the cup size diff between my boobs bothers me.
Now my husband would never let me do it! He loves my boobs and wouldn't let me change them!
And that's ok, I really plan on never having any surgery in my life, so far so good. So that would stop me from doing it as well.
Soooo, tempting, but no I wouldn't do plastic surgery.
Laser eye surgery is corrective so I don't consider it 'plastic'. And the laser hair removal isn't surgery so I wouldn't count that either.
Both of those I'm planning on at some time in my life. :)
The only procedure I've ever thought seriously about was lazor eye surgery... I hate glasses and contacts freak me out. My sister had it about 10 years ago and only now has to wear glasses again at 40.
In the end I think that I'll only end up getting it if I end up having to due to some accident.

I'd like full boobs....just a C. Nothing crazy. I looked into a tummy tuck for that little flap of loose skin that exercise just won't make go away...but the scar and the recovery are too much for me. Maybe I should just go talk to a surgeon...yeah right. I need a j.o.b. first!

Breast reduction and lift when i finish having kids , i have large breasts that cause a lot of pain . i would love a tummy tuck too but wont be getting that LOL oh yeah im in on the laser removal of stretch marks too Haha.

I think the reason mommys are probably open to it is we do so much for everyone else,
our bodys become baby hotels for 9months every time we have a kid and our boobs become like gas pumps, We love our baby's but not so much the muffin top tummy and saggy boobs left in there wake...
I think the mommy motivation is more about ourself, feeling good for us rather than our appearance for the out side world.

Yes. If I had the money I would get my nose done. I've always hated that I have this distinct bump on my nose. My mom has it as well and always wanted to get it "fixed." As I get older I'm getting more comfortable with myself and am learning to live with it. But money willing, I will get my nose fixed.

lol that sucks julia... i didnt get stretch marks till nione months with my son... but i was 20 and that was my first kid :( yeah i definately have already talked to my husband and we've agreed that once i am done having kids, and get back into shape, i get to have a tummy tuck... maybe something for my stretch marks if they get any worse this time around... and breast lift/reduction if i decide i want it... i have 38DD at the moment, but I usually lose weight in my boobs quick when I lose weight, before I had my son I was only a 36C... big c small d lol... so i donno... i love having big boobs, but dd is a bit much haha

I would, I don't want to go all crazy or anything, I just want my body back. I would get a tummy tuck and a breast lift. Just to help put my skin back where it belongs. If i wanted to go all out, I might get butt implants to make my flat butt a little curvier, but none of it's gonna happen anyway. LOL!

If I ever have plastic surgery it would be to reduce my breast, as after having kids they have gotten big. Although I wouldn't do so until I got down to the weight I should be at, and they were still so big. But that's a IF there still too big. I just can't find clothing that fits because my boobs are too big!

Poor Carol -- I puked in recovery as well.
The nurse kept sticking this rubbery-tasting oxygen mask over my face, and I kept trying to take it off, 'cause I knew I was going to be sick.
Finally when she turned her back I took the mask off and flung it on the floor.
She came back and said, "I thought I told you to keep that mask on."
I looked at her, smiled weakly, and power-puked all over her.
I then said, "I thought I told YOU I was going to be sick."

I definately want a breast lift!!! While I don't have as big of boobs as some of the women on here...I'm by no means small in the chest. I'm at a 34 DD right now (9 months pregnant and afraid of what they will be when my milk comes in!) but after pregnancy and breastfeeding I usually drop down to a 34 D. With my family history....I want them picked back up. My husband says no he loves them au natural but I want my perky high school boobs back! God I miss those!

In a perfect world where I would have the money and not have to worry about if I am going to die from anesthesia (I am allergic to many, many things so it really wouldn't surprise me), I would have a tummy-tuck. The rest I can deal with, but ever since I had my son, I have not been able to get rid of my tummy and pretty much that is the only thing hanging around since I gave birth (no pun intended). Ok, maybe a breast lift after I have all the kids we want (no point before then). But in real life, probably not.
Lady - posted on 04/08/2010
I would have a breast lift - possably implants not sure depends how succesful a lift would be on my tiny saggy tits. I would also like a tummy tuck and lipo on my hips bum and thighs. When I'm older I would probably like a face lift but as long as it just made me look refreashed not streched - I hate these woman that have so many procedures that they fake - huge boobs and lips and a face that doesn't move above the jaw - it just freaks me out to even look at them!
Emma - posted on 04/08/2010
Im not a fan of plastic surgery, but there is one procedure that has caught my eye the internal bra, for this i might just go under the knife.
its quite a nifty thing as its not implants or a breast lift as such from what lve read they , they some how attach what looks like a triangular bikini top piece just under the skin attach it top and bottom and whalu no more bras ever again you are wherein one 24/7 .
I think this is cool as i hate wearing a bra and after breastfeeding two kids there not where they used to be so i cant pull off going bra less like i used to as cloths don't hang the same way any more.

Kati- I had a huge gap between my stomach muscles and i had them stitched back together and with physio i was find, i was so scared but it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and now i can do a sit up with out bursting into tears YAY!

Yes I would, call me vain, but oh how I would love a tummy tuck, breast lift, lipo on my hips, but and thighs, full set of porcelain veneers and may be a smaller nose, I think I may have watched too much Extreme Makeover and Nip/Tuck!

I am getting a breast reduction as soon as I am done with breast feeding. I was big to begin with (I grew C cups in grade nine virtually over night) up to an E in high school. Now I am a 34 H. I have shoulder indents, a weird hump in my spine, headaches, back aches, super tight shoulders, the list goes on. Thank god I'm in Alberta where it's covered! If I have the money I want to get a tummy tuck at the same time (I gained over 60 lbs with my first pregnancy and have stretch marks horrendously). I also want to get my eyelids laser-ed (thanks to my mothers genes I always look tired lol). Does permanent hair remove count at plastic surgery? I want that too; imagine, never having to shave your armpits ever again! I think that's about it, although a butt implant/fat transfer would make my hubby pretty happy (my poor no-existent ass lmoa-- oh wait, let me change that to rofl, I can't spare any more ass)
I think it would be nice to have the "mommy makeover" (breast lift and tummy tuck). But the thought of recovery kind of disturbs me so I would never do it. Plus there are better things to do with my money. And my husband is pretty satisfied with they way I am.
Rosie - posted on 04/07/2010
i would. i've even been to a plastic surgeon to talk about getting a tummy tuck. my stomach muscles have seperated during pregnancy, and he would have to repair those or else i would still have the pooch on the top like i do now. so that entails alot more recovery time, and alot more restrictions. if i could take off 6 weeks from work, and had more help at home, i definitely would do it.
as long as we're talking, if i could i would also want a boob lift/job, and stretch mark lasering. aahhh, i can dream!

I had a breast reduction at the age of 24. The government (Canada) covered it because of the size of my breasts. I sort of regret it because it made breastfeeding hellish, but on the other hand, strange men stopped randomly groping me. I was a size 4/6 with E + cup breasts. I was tipping over. If after I finish having children, my breasts do not go down in size with weight loss, I will have the surgery done again. And knowing that there is no concerns about breastfeeding, I'm sure I wouldn't regret it. The recovery from the surgery was very hard, I had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia (you can imagine how much it would hurt to vomit with 2 chest incisions), but the lack of daily headaches would be worth it.

I'm planning on having the "mommy makeover" when I'm done having kids... if we can save up the money for it. Tummy tuck and breast lift/small implants. More for my own comfort than anything. My husband loves how I look. A bunch of loose skin is not comfy.
Krista - posted on 04/07/2010
Sunny, you might want to check with your insurance company -- if you're having pain because of it, maybe they'll cover it?
And I'm another one who had a breast reduction (at age 17). I don't regret it for a millisecond. I was wearing a Canadian size 10, but wore a 36G bra. It was absurd -- I looked like I was smuggling volleyballs.

I NEED a breast reduction i was meant to have one before i fell pregnant, i was only 52 kgs but i had size 10G boobs (which mind you they dont even make a bra for!) now im a 10F and my shoulders and back hurt still, its expensive though..... :(

When I am done having kids I would like a breast reduction and maybe even a lift. I've had big breasts since grade 6. They were DD in Highschool, D when I lost fourty pounds and after having Gracie they are definitely a lot bigger than DD. I don't know exactly since I don't have a proper fitting bra. They cause me some terrible back pain, they make me look a lot bigger than I am, it's really hard to find nice tops that don't show too much cleavage (except turtlenecks) and good luck finding a bra in a decent price range. (Hence the fact that I don't have a proper fitting one.)
That's pretty much it though, except maybe treatment for my stretch marks. :P
LaCi - posted on 04/07/2010
Laser bra. Or breast lift, I'm not picky. Maybe a reduction... I think I'd be lost without my totties though.
When I get older I will eliminate wrinkles by any means necessary. They have new treatments in the works for stretch marks- sign me up. I abhor my stretch marks. And if ever I have anything that can be tucked, tuck it. I never want to age physically. ;/
Jenny - posted on 04/07/2010
Absolutely, I want a breast lift. I don't want to go much bigger but I'd like to be fuller. I never got to experience perky teenage boobs as puberty hit me hard and fast so it would be my gift to myself (and my partner of course).
