My chiropractor recommended garlic and olive oil spread on the feet at bedtime as a remedy for ear infections. Has anyone heard of this, and does it really work?

Garlic mashed in olive oil and brought to a low boil and taken off and then cooled is a good remedy for lots of things.. I have put it on a chest for chest congestion and put a toweel then saran wrap around the child and puit to bed for the night and by morning are 80% better..
Also for ear infections I have used 2 capsules of activated charcol and 1 Tbls patroleum
jelly in a mix (I use a styrafom cup...) and put it on a paper towel size of the ear. Then add a layer of paper towel on top of that and put on ear. add saran wrap around the ear only and then use stocking cap to keep in place for the night. It is nice and warming and pulls out the infection from the ear.. I don't know why it works but Charcol injested helps with poison.

I've heard of garlic and oil warmed up slightly then put a few drops of it in the ears, but not of spreading it on the feet. I don't think it would hurt to try it though.

Hi, every time I read about ear infection I want to give my experience as a positive example how we deal with it. What I will write used to be a cure for the infection our grand grand moms used. A piece of leek, about 20-25 cm, put it in an aluminum foil and bake it for about half an hour in the oven, until it softens, of press the foil to feel if it is soft enough. When you take it out of the oven, squeeze it through the foil in a glass or a coffee cup, and then put the liquid in an appropriate ear-drop bottle, drop couple of drops from the liquid in both ears, close the ear canal with cotton, repeat this 3 times a day for 2 days and the infection will be gone. It works for my Nina well, she will be 4 on the 9-th of June. Our family doctor also approved this, he said ” if you can cure something without antibiotics, it is better” . I suggest you try it, it doesn’t hurt, it is cheep, and you can make it anytime - anywhere
