I am 24 weeks pregnant and bought some Ice tea mix with ginseng extract in there. I've done some research on it and am wondering if it is still safe to drink or not. I've had about 3 or 4 glasses before I clued in that I should probably research ginseng and have stopped drinking it. Does anyone know anything about ginseng?

I just looked up ginseng in one of my herbal books and it said not to take ginseng if pregnant, have hypertension, or have a fever. I remember avoiding herbal teas with ginseng in it when pregnant. I would not worry that you drank 3 or 4 glasses, especially if you have not had any symptoms, but I would definitely avoid further use. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
