Mystery Rash

My child has had a horrible rash. It covered her whole body lasted 4 days, went away for a week and has come back. It gets better and worse and sometimes is raised, other times it becomes a blanket of red. Last night the spots that weren't red turned purple and then went back down. Dr. doesnt seem to have a clear answer.... any ideas or treatments? I though prickly heat and then my husband looked up rubbella... she had the immunization for that, but her symptoms are the same. Lymphs behind the ear are swollen.

Even though she's had the immunizations, she may have gotten a case of the measles or rubella from the immunizations. With lymph nodes swollen, it sounds like her body is trying to fight something. I use a lot of essential oils at home. Lemongrass essential oil is good for decongesting the lymph system. Making sure she is getting enough to drink (more water than juice or milk right now), and maybe even putting some apple cider vinegar and a little honey (I think she is old enough for honey now - if not, maybe some maple syrup to sweeten it up) in water and having her drink that a few times a day may help. Also some garlic. That is really good. You can even cut a fresh garlic clove in half and rub the garlic oil on her feet a few times a day, even on the back of her ears on top of the lymph nodes. If you see her skin get red, add some olive oil to the skin to cool it down. Also, not taxing her system with white bread and white sugar right now. And keep your doctor in the loop. Hopefully she gets better soon.
