My name is Kandi and I work part-time. I have a little girl who was born on March 19, 2010! I would love to get to know some other moms who work part-time. However, all moms are welcome here, working or non-working moms, because I believe all moms are hard workers whether they get paid for it or not! So, let's get to know one another and share our stories!!!

I work at a firearm store. I sell guns and ammunition. My main duties are really the paper work part of the store. I am the only woman that works there and I am good with paperwork, money, and computers so the brunt of that work falls on my lap, but that's ok. I don't mind one bit! My husband works a rotating shift. His shift changes monthly so time as a family has always been difficult. Time together is hard especially when he works day shift 7a to 3p. I work 4p to 7p most evenings and 7a to 3p on Saturdays. So I rarely see my husband but we make it work. His shift changes from days 7a-3p, to nights 11p-7a to evenings 3p-11p. It's difficult to adjust for all of us but we do.

One thing I find hard is that when I wasn't working our LO was on a great schedule, but now that my DH has her and my mom or who ever I can get on Saturdays that schedule goes out the window. I also find that sometimes getting housework done, pampering myself and running errands are difficult.

So, what are your strengths/weaknesses...tips for other moms? Let us know, or ask ? I want to get to know you!

Hello my name is Bethany and I work part time at a local hospital here in town.I had my daughter March 6, 2011. I think in some ways its harder to work part time and take care of your child full time. My husband is great but somehow thinks I am better or can deal with our daughter better. I also take care of the finances.

I also find it hard to make friends. My husband and I moved to his home town because of jobs
