I am new to the group & not completely sure if this is the most appropriate place to post information like this, but I know of a resource you might be interested in. If you like sales or would like to have an easy way to sell the items your kids no longer need or use, read on. If not, I am happy to have found this resource on Facebook & look forward to learning from you all!
I run a children's & maternity consignment sale called Just Between Friends at the Portland Expo Center. It's a seriously big sale where you can buy (and sell) “gently-used” children’s, infant and maternity items. Before I started running the sale, not only did I get great deals, I also made over $500 just selling my daughter's used stuff! And, it’s not just clothing. You can sell or purchase other great items such as toys, books, videos, strollers, baby equipment, nursery items, large play equipment, bedding, cribs, changing tables…basically anything having to do with babies, kids, or pregnancy.
These sales occur twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. If you are interested in selling, all you have to do is price your own items, drop them off at the designated time during the sale weekend, and then pick up your unsold items at the end of the sale (or choose to donate to JBF's local charities), and you get a check in the mail a few weeks later. It’s easy & the best part is that you earn 70% of the selling price. What could be better than making money by cleaning out your closets!? Plus, signing up to be a consignor at the sale will earn you a presale pass to shop early, before the general public so you get first pick of all the goodies! You can also volunteer at the sale to get one of those great presale passes.
The next sale is Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at the Portland Expo Center. Seller/Consignor registration is now open (& required). Email me or check out www.portland.jbfsale.com to learn how you can get involved
