Ependymoma

My daughter is 3 years old and was diagnosed with ependymoma. We are currently at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis Tn fighting this tumor. If anyone would like to talk about ependymoma please respond. This tumor is very rare so parents of children with ependymoma rarely get the opportunity to share information.

This is a support group for parents of survivors and for children in treatment and for parents that have lost their children too. My son had anaplastic ependymoma at 8 mo old - its a scary road but glad support is out there. here is my sons story http://www.nickybear.com

I hope this reply finds both you and your daughter well. I just joined this group and saw your post. My daughter was diagnosed with ependymoma when she was 10 months old back in May 2005. She was treated at Dana Farber in Boston and I know of a lot of children treated at St. Jude. There is a support group for parents of ependy kids on the web...let me know if you are interested and I'll give you the contact info.
