Depending on my mood I change my scents in my Scentsy Warmers.. I am a consultant for Scentsy and love this new Wickless Candle.. we have different warmers and they are safe they do get warm but don't scold or cause fire because there is no flame.. there are 80+ scents to choose from and they smell awesome including Lavender, vanilla and much more... we also have Scentsy Buddies which are Amimals with scent saks inside to help your child relax!
check my site out! www.imay.scentsy.com

I love scented candles, especially fresh linen and tropical smells! I also like bath fizzies. A really good way to go is to get a couple bath fizzies, throw them in and surround yourself with candles (dim or turn off the lights). Very relaxing. If you drink wine, take some to the bath with you!
Also, nighttime lavendar baby gel was AMAZING for pregnancy. My husband would rub that on me and I would feel so relaxed. :)
Baths are the champion of pregnant women :)

Aromatherapy products for myself. Candles too. Never thought of fragrance to calm my kids, I use music for that.

I'm also a fan of lavendar, particularly in soaps. For the room I use incense, usually sage which is great for clearing the space also. Another nice option are the heated oil diffusers - where you put a small tea light under some oil. My kids are 12 and 10, and they both really like the incense now - I think it really does have a calming effect.

For me a gardenia spray or lavender. The boys always like Baby Magic original. Simple but very nice.

Aromatherapy. For children a great blend is chamomile, lavender and mandarin. "Sweet Dreams" 3 drops of each in 60ml of a carrier oil (like grapeseed or sweet almond oil) or Water.
Be careful of plugins- I've heard they can be a fire hazard. And fragrance is synthetic.

I use the scent mate because it doesn't heat up, my son can turn it on or off and I don't have to worry about him trying to play with it because I can put it up high. Both of my sisters love it as well. Our favorite is clean sheets. My son's is sugar cookie (of course =) One application lasts 3 months, it's battery operated, and has a silent fan that evenly distributes the fragerance. Plug-ins can sometimes be overwhelming and my son would play with it. This works great for us. http://www.goldcanyon.com/Shop/ScentMate...

So crazy that I see this post..Yesturday while cleaning the house I had lit a candle in Landons room. I finally finaished going through all his clothes, you know, getting the winter clothes out, getting cold..well any ways, it was time for landons nap. I laid him down in his bed and he fell literally straight to sleep. I thought about it and I really think the candle soothed him to sleep. It was a apple blossom fragrance! Just to make things safe, I am looking into getting the scented plug ins, what do you ladies think?!

I've fallen in love with Gold Canyon Candles. I always have one lit. Believe it or not scents like pool towel and cucumber melon make me want to clean. LOL. My kids are hooked too. My 5 year old has a scent mate in his room with sugar cookie. My 2 yr old keeps asking for one too but I haven't gotten him one yet. I also use spicy scents to get me in the mood to cook and baking scents to relax. My favorite scent is harmony aromatherapy. It makes everything feel fresh and airy.
