I really need some other moms to hang out with every once and a while. It gets pretty depressing being stuck at home every day. I moved up here from the states a few years ago and don't have many friends of my own....Anyone feeling the same?

Tell me you go to the library. Our library has some great programs, including dropin storytime, for babies to teens. You can meet plenty of other parents at these.
What other hobbies do you have? Knitting, pottery, photography? Anything?

I'm new to peterborough also, but I don't drive. So, we'd have to be fairly creative about meeting up lol!

I found this on kijiji:
Calvary Church (1421 Lansdowne St. W.) has an awesome playgroup on the first Tuesday of each month.
It runs from 9:30 am until 11am (or so) in the church Nursery. Includes crafts, painting, snack, circle, and loads of toys to play with.
All are welcome. Hope to see you there.
NOTE: park at the southwest doors (in the back). It saves a lot of walking!

try heading into the zoo, lots of people are there most days. i also saw a sign at the calverly church on lansdowne st West saying they have a free playgroup. try searching for their link - i would but am finger typing as i hold my baby lol.

I like Peterborough. It doesn't have a real big city feel to it nor is it in the middle of nowhere. lol
No, I haven't. How would I find them? Is there a website or something? 'cause that would be awesome!

Hey Jessica! How are you liking Peterboroguh?
Have you tried joining some of the mobile outreach programs? They have drop in centres all around Peterbroough county on Friday mornings, lots of toys games and a chance to met other mom's?
