Storing digital photos

We have an external hard drive that we use until we can burn them to a CD. We usually make 2 copies of each CD, just in case of a fire or anything so we still have them all! I have also heard that there are many websites that you can upload your photos to, and they will be there for a long time! Hope it helps!

I've been using a file server which was doing well for 5 years but the issue of always having to use a router as a go between for my pc just slowed down opening and browsing time. I would recommend a terrabyte hard drive so that you can just plug the usb and go. With issues with my file server I'm currently worried that my last 10 years of pictures might be gone and I will never again have all of my pictures in one place. Picasa Web Albums (made by google) are an awesome source to upload pics and video to with affordable additional space. Not to mention sharing with friends and family is a snap and if you ever needed to one click download all button is awesome!
