I too am the single divorced mom that is the cop. I work twelve hour shifts and have two teenage kids. They joke that sometimes I am the warden and they are in jail but all in all we are very close.

Thank you Marti! I would be more than happy to give insight from the "other" side. In my etes, my family are the real heroes! They endure many days and nights alone and still have to keep loving us even when we've had a bad day and we're not so nice...LOL!

Hello! Just wanted to say welcome! I joined this group not too long ago and have been reading many of the conversations and thinking to myself how nice it is that others go through the same things! :) Maybe you can provide some insight from the "other side" that would be helpful to us all!
