I watch the Young Turks on youtube whenever I can. Here is a clip from them about Glenn Beck completely losing it on a caller during his radio show. After watching please tell me WHY anyone would use him as a credible source?

Just wanted to point out one other thing too. What he said about the Prime Minister of Aussie going to the states? Bull Shat!

I heard it from an Aussie and I also searched for this info. No Australian PM has ever gone to the states for surgery, let alone had prostate cancer.

I think this post is EXACTLY why none of us can speak to each other ...clearly he is not speaking one of our languages...the man is a lunatic!!! He said in this post that he felt suicidal...I can understand this feeling...If I were selling out the entire human race for the sake of the insurance industry, I would consider hanging myself too!

It is interesting how we all see different sides, of course I like the side where Glenn Beck is a huge pig.  :)

The thing that is great about Glenn Beck is that he's always honest. He's irrational, crazy and funny. That's just how he is. If you guys could get over yourselves for a minute, you might like him too.

Come on, Glenn Beck fakes a forced yell all the time. Not to mention a tear or two.

Our biggest news station (CTV) has a 24 page document all employees must adhere too. I tried finding the one for CBC but their website is confusing. I haven't looked for Global yet.

It's why I don't. LOL! I have watched them all numerous times and can never stomach it long enough to make it past the first 15-20 minutes. It's ridiculous. I'm glad we agree on something though. I think a Code of Conduct needs to be implementing on the news stations down there like it is up here.

We are all human yes but when in the public's eye you need to act with decorum. If it is not there people will tune you out and not listen.
I would much rather get my news and opinions from people who can hold themselves in check while on the air, rather than someone who loses his cool with people who do not agree.

LOL! Christa... we're not public figures though so no one really cares if we lose our cool.

SHE wouldn't listen? What filter do you have on your ears? He COMPLETELY lost it. AND when she DID try to say something He got offense, rude and went way to far overboard. This would never happen in Canada because our journalists (I use this term loosely in regards to Beck) would get slapped with all kinds of breaches of our Code of Conduct that all journalists must adhere too.

Aimee - it is a common misconception that Beck is a journalist.  He is not.  He is a commentator.  He is, however, responsible and checks his facts before presenting them on his show.

The woman caller obviously was not a person who regularily listened or watched Glenn's show because of her comments about him 'not caring about the trillion dollar bailout,' etc.  Traci is right, he has been and still contintues to be outspoken AGAINST Big Government.

We all have our moments of weakness.  Glenn's just happens to be more public than ours.  Plus he has enemies that like to magnify them to try and make him look like a fool.

Those small moments of weakness aside, he continues to speak common sense.  He continues to raise questions that are very pertinent to our political issues/govt.

Holding him in question for moments of weakness are what petty people do.

I don't know what the back story is to that, so I cannot say for sure what he was talking about. But just because it doesn't come up in a google search doesn't mean it didn't happen. I wish I could comment further :)

Dana, all his emotions are genuine. If you watched him on a regular basis, not on the Jon Stewart show, Steven Colbert, or YouTube clips, you would know. :)

Traci, I actually don't watch any of these.  I do watch him on his program sometimes just to hear what kind of crap he's saying.

Yes, because he has what you call honesty and integrity. At least he's up front about it. Maybe the people who pose as journalists should get a clue...

No, he did nothing wrong. The woman was an idiot. If Jon Stewart had done something like that, I would have found it friggin hiliarious. It was a very human moment. Genuine. Not like the fake, forced yells of Keith Olbermann.

He did nothing wrong? I bet you wouldn't think so if it had been say... Jon Stewart yelling over your voice and calling you a pinhead.
Jon Stewart wouldn't do that though, he'd laugh his ass off at you but he'd never be such a jerk.

Um, that is where you are VERY mistaken. He is NOT a journalist. Journalists are often being lumped in with pundits nowadays and the two are very different. He NEVER claims to be a journalist. He constantly says, this is an OPINION program. He at least has the integrity to tell people where he is coming from. You are wrong :)

It was a radio show, not World News Tonight. He is human and he did nothing wrong.

It is not an assumption. He was unprofessional. That's all there is. Anything before and after has no bearing on it.
He chose to not act like a professional, he chose to act like a child. If he was a professional and was that opposed to what she was saying he could have simply hung up the phone line.
I don't care about what they were talking about, I care about his utter lack of respect for his profession. It is a disgrace to any true journalist to have someone like him lumped with them.

I LOVED his outburst. The reason he lost it like that is because she told him he didn't care how we spent trillions on bailing out banks, etc. Let me say this so I don't have to repeat myself here GLENN BECK WAS THE MOST OUTSPOKEN MEDIA PERSONALITY OUT THERE WHEN IT CAME TO THE BAILOUTS!!!! She had no idea what the hell she was talking about when she said that. She's the only rude idiot in the phone call here. I don't blame him a bit for going off on her like he did. That woman was a fool.

You guys might want to have some background info before you go making assumptions. Please familiarize yourself with the subject you seem to be poking fun at before you go saying he is not a credible source. He's got more honesty and integrity in his pinky than the rest of the media does combined. If you don't watch him, you really don't know what you are talking about :)

Yea, well it's easy to assume that when you hadn't listened to the 10 minutes of him talking with her before that little clip. I listened to the whole thing, and she was being really rude, trying to talk over him, finally he got fed up like any other human being would.

Do you guys really take life this seriously? Come one, I was listening when this happened, and thought it was funny myself. This lady would not listen, she just kept on talking and not letting him get a word in edgewise.

It is easy to take a little clip of someone freaking out momentarily and making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I've heard this many times...it makes me sick, I can't listen to it again...but I do still believe that this creature belongs in a mental hospital somewhere, and not influencing millions of people every day. He's ill, he deserves medical and pychological treatment, just like any other American...but we shouldn't be subjected to his poison any longer.
