Had a great time with the family. I'll be spending all day today in my jammies drinking coffee and making a pot of turkey soup with the turkey carcass I brought home. Yummy.

It has it's pros and cons. We do have to wait longer, but once it's here we get Thanksgiving, Christmas, then New Years. We don't have to work a full week in almost that whole time. It's kinda a nice way to end the year. :-) Although you definitely gain some weight, but hey you only live once right. ;-)

Plus we can focus on Halloween naughties, get fat from that, then focus on Thanksgiving yummies, get a little more fat, then comes Christmas cookies and what nots. It just keeps the party going.

Quoting Laura:
I hope you don't take offense to this....but I really do feel sorry for Americans for having to wait so long.
It gives us something to look foward to, then Christmas is a little over a month away after. Its what we grew up with.

I feel sorry for me too!! Although, I do like to have it when it is a bit more fall-ish.

Yum! I celebrated it last weekend with a good friend of mine who is originally from Canada, I think I might make that a yearly thing. I can get used to two thanksgivings 1 month apart. ;-)

Yum, yum, you're making me hungry for Thanksgiving. I love left over turkey sandwiches but we seem to have less and less leftovers. Enjoy!!

Thanks Christa! Turkey is in the oven stuffed, taters, carrots, turnip are ready to go on the stove. Gravy will be made when the turkey comes out and the buns will be warmed as I make the gravy.
Foood. mmm....
Oh and pumpkin pie with whip cream.
I already have fat pants Laura. =P I got leftover from my last pregnancy still. LOL!!
