Lovely thread! Great idea. Well, this is going to sound terrible, but drugs remind me of my daughter. I take domperidone to help with my milk supply, and when I take it at night, the logo on the bottle always makes me laugh and think of her. I have no idea how it happened, or where she learned it (must have been my mother). But one day when she was about 15 months we were going to the drug store to pick something up, and as we were walking up, she looked up at the sign and said, "London Drugs". I was floored and just stood there with my mouth gaping open. I mean, up until then she'd said, mama, banana, and cat. So she moves on to "London Drugs". I just started to laugh and she just kept saying it. Apparently, it also constituted part of her first sentence when she told my mom that her and grandpa "go to London Drugs". So every time I take my medication, it brings a little smile to my face. She is a big talker now, and I'm still constantly amazed by the stuff she picks up.

Oscar is a wire haired Jack Russel he is only two and a half years old and it was amazing when we brought Cooper home how quickly he changed from psycho , hypo , puppy dog to calm loving and gentle mature dog around Cooper they bonded instantly it was really beautiful to watch .

oh God, Joshua and the cat is a whole other story-think he loves the cat more than he does me! He calls her YAYA-(vera) and any cat he see's is yaya. He wants to see her as soon as he wakes up and I have heard him talk about her in his sleep! The worst part of this is he can say cat...he can say kitty...but when we are in public and he sees anything resembling a cat he yells "titty!!!" I get some horrible looks but I have to laugh because I know what he is trying to say! And I don't know maybe I am heartless and cold but I can't stand pets now that I have a kid...it's better now that he is older but during the crawling stage I found it horible!

That is so cute about your LOs and your dogs! Its neat how into animals they can be. We don't have a dog (I'd love one but our house is kinda small, and I'm not sure I could handle it right now) but Kieran LOVES our two cats. Ever since he was old enough to be aware that they existed he's been obsessed. He gets so happy when he sees one and is always trying to chase them, but of course they nearly always get away because he can only army crawl lol. But they're getting more tolerant of him especially since we've been teaching him to be gentle instead of grabbing them. In fact we're pretty sure his first real word was kitty. He's only said it a handful of times and not recently- but every time he said it, it was while looking at/trying to chase one of the cats. He says it like "kee" but it seemed pretty clear what he meant.

jarmayne loves dogs, whenever we go to nannys- its always 'dog,dog,dog' . the other day i caught him laying next to her panting with her lol. i love watching them play :) he also did the cutest thing this morning. i quite often play with jarmaynes hair when i tell him i love him and give him a kiss. so this morning he went up to rylan and gently rubbed his head then gave him a kiss... soooo cute lol

The only thing OJshua is agressive towards is our dog! HE isn't doing it in a mean way but he tries to get her to play fetch and will throw the ball AT her...or he tried to feed her by forcing food in her mouth. I have to admit she is pretty good about it but she is getting older and it does scare me. She spends a lot of her day downstairs by herself

My child's obsession with his dog is crazy its the first thing he calls out for when he wakes up and the last thing he calls to snuggle before bed so when Cooper goes to grandma's for the day every time i see Oscar the dog trot into the house i always expect Cooper to be right behind him they are like two peas in a pod .

he is also obsessed with trucks and motorbikes and can hear them coming a mile away , he runs to the gate and yells VROOOM VROOOOM .

Joshua is totally into the Lion King cd...every time we play just can't wait to be king, I have to laugh...him in a nutshell! Like I said, we all have amazing kids, because we all are great mommies!!! Keep up the great work ladies!!
PS Joshua finally just said Love you mommy...well it is more la la u mommy, but I knew what he meant. My heart just melted!!!!

That would be sweet Meghan!

I always say to Gray "whose-a my punkin" in a high chipmunk kind of voice and he just laughs hysterically. I love hearing him laugh. Today Gray was especially cute because I had the radio on and all of a sudden he got quiet (I was in another room) and when I came out to check on him he was standing in front of the stereo dancing...priceless!

Joshua loves acting like a dog...he started crawling a couple weeks back and panting and I said "oh my cute little puppy!" and since then he loves playing puppy! I scratch behind his ear and say sit Rusfus...he thinks it is the greatest thing ever! I think all of the babes I have heard about on here sound AMAZING!!! Too bad we couldn't all just jget together and have a huge playdate!!!

OMG! Jaime....that's crazy! Gray sounds like a blast.....LOL! Roxanne loves to crawl around and bark like a puppy; her cousins even taught her how to lift one leg when she's on all fours to pee like a male dog.....LOL! She not afraid of pooches either.....doesn't matter their size! SHe doesn't, however, chew on rawhide or eat dog food.....LOL! That's awesome!

Every time I see a dog I think of Gray! LOL...I know that must sound strange but let me explain something about my son:

I'm convinced that he is a reincarnated canine because he has a kinship with dogs that I've never seen before. He is absolutely fearless and when they bark he laughs and babbles at them and they seem to understand him. Along with that he enjoys chewing rawhide, he eats dog food (I've tried to stop him but I give up!), he chews on slippers and shoes (I've given him teething rings, cold cloths, toys...but nope) he once threw up and then attempted to eat it again and I'm pretty sure I've heard him bark a time or two.

When I was pregnant I didn't want to find out if I was having a boy or girl so when people asked what I was having I used to tell them I was having a puppy...how's that for Karma? LOL

I love it when I clean up the house and find Ava's dummies randomly stashed in her toys !

The handwash my work buys for our bathrooms is the same brand as the hospital for the Special Care Nursery, so now whenever I was my hands the smell reminds me of SCN and how tiny she was. Its a sad memory but it makes me feel close to her while Im at work !

He used to try and put them in the garbage, but I do home day care and he sees the "big" kids clean up and they go put everything in the sink or on the counter. So of course he has to do what they do too :)

Actually initially our son got so bad about throwing stuff out in the garbage can that I got in the habit of checking it any time I knew he had been in the kitchen. He used to think it was great fun to put his shoes "away" in there.

Kobus(5) is a real little wannabe Cowboy (he keeps a pony at his grandma's house in SA and has been riding since he was 2), he dresses up like a cowboy most days complete with hat and guns and his favourite song is 'country roads', his favourite movie is lone ranger! so I changed my ringtone on my phone to lone ranger and everytime the phone rings I smile. People think I'm nuts :-)

Nicole the funniest thing when Kobus was little, I told him to clean up after eating but when I went into the kitchen afterwards I found the plate and spoon in the dustbin instead of the sink! So you must be doing something right!

I thought I couldn't think of anything after reading this either and then I went into the kitchen and there is my son's cup precariously balanced on the edge of the sink and a couple of toys. Apparently when I told him to clean up before bed he felt that besides his cup some of his toys needed washing too (a toy cow and donkey).

When we had the house center set up we would find the plastic dishes in the sink or around the sink on the counter too.

I guess if I can't get my husband to get his dishes to the sink at least I have our son trained to do it already hehe.

i'm the same dana.... my similar thing would be when i'm cleaning up after he's gone to bed at night.... just finding random things in random places. like toy cars in the laundry basket.... or toys in our bed on the days that daddys had a sleep in and he's been trying to get him up to play lol. just funny things like that, that make me chuckle at night.

Doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing but I tend to talk like Roxanne.....I often find myself repeating certain words that she says! OUT LOUD, TO OTHER PEOPLE.....they look at me like I'm nuts and then I laugh and think of Roxanne!

Lol this is a fun question. For a while DF (a total geek lol) was watching Star Trek Voyager from beginning to end. Kieran LOVES the opening song for some reason! Whenever it would come on and he was in the room, no matter what he happened to be doing he would stop and stare at the tv, totally entranced lol. And when the opening was over and the show started he'd just go back to whatever he was doing. So whenever DF is watching it and I hear the song I think of Kieran.
