Okay Ladies, my son, just won't go to potty. He knows how to, he can pull his pants & pull up & down & even wipe his self. But unless you ask him, he just won't go & even sometimes then he needs coaxing. We have tired everything rewards, videos, big boy undies like daddy, you name we have tried it. He just won't do it, now he is in Pre-K & the only child in his class not potty trained, & that drives me crazy. He can do everything else that a “normal” 3yo old can do and beyond except potty. HELPP!!!

put some cheerios or froot loops in the toilet and tell him to aim for them. that helped my oldest son. with the second 1 i had a treat everytime we went to the potty and he used it. make it a habit to take him every hour on the hour when u are home and it will help the process. i have a 2 yr old and a 3 yr old i am training now and it seems to work. his preschool does the same thing and it works out.

also pullups are never a good idea because they feel the same as a diaper best bet is to stay away from them for good

my eldest was 4 years old before she started to go on the potty no matter what we did she just didnt wanna do it so we just stopped pushing her and eventually she started going on her own and was day trained and night trained within awweek so ya he maybe be older but pushing will never help as i found out but eventually they will hate the wet feeling and the poopy feeling and start going by themselves but ya i dont really have much of an answer foru sorry lol

My husband had bribed my son yesterday to go no. 2 in the potty and he actually did it. He told my son that he would get a big prize (taking him to Walmart and letting him pick out three toys). He did it then, but now today, we have him in underwear and he's had multiple accidents. I am so frustrated at this point. He will be 3 in October and I'm pregnant with another boy due in January. I just want him to be potty-trained before the baby gets here, but now I'm desperate. I guess I have to just take one day at a time and maybe as one of the mothers said, I can try to make a game out of it. Hopefully this will work. Good luck with your boy. :)

Relax...some of our kiddos just take longer. Do you send him to school in undies or a pull up? The only thing that worked for my son was to just send him to school in undies with lots of changes. His teacher assigned him a potty buddy and I made him a badge for his shirt that said "Big boy in potty training" to remind his teachers that he was training. He didn't move out of the nursery until he was 3 1/2 years old...he was the oldest one in there. At home set the oven timer to go off over hour or so and make a game out of it. He will get it soon....all kids eventually get there.

most boys are p/t by the time they are 3 and a half. make a game out of it, or make up a song about when you have to go to the potty pull your pants down and go go GOOO lol but my todd wont pull down his pants to go, we've thrown away so many gross underwear becuz he just uses them as pull-ups and I don't get it!!
