My daughter is 3 1/2, and has just surprised the heck outta me the last 2 weeks in her potty training. She only wears dresses or long shirts no undies or pull ups. She just gets up and goes when she needs to an I don't have to nag her every 15-30 min to go (an to be honest nagging just made things worse for her, she started to hate the potty cause she say on it so many times when she did not have to go). So she is doing great, so I decided to put he in undies last week an she still goes potty but doesn't pull them down first she pees right through them. Now before i get comments about putting pull ups on her, they don't work they are nothing more than a pretty diaper to her she does not even other using the potty when she wear them so the only time she wears them is to bed. How do i go about getting her to pull her undies (an pants) down before going pee?.

I am currently going through this to pull ups don't work for my son either. I have had the best progress with loose fitting shorts no underware. He goes on his own and b/c they are loosefitting they come off or up and down easily for him. I plan to try this a while then when he can handle it add the underware. Good luck!

We are using regular cloth panties, and My Mom told me yesterday she was going to get the training panties because they are a little thicker, Addie takes the princess panties off and shows them to people saying pretty...SO im not sure she gets it totally either.

I just wanted to up date.. We worked this week on pulling down the undies first. I got a few packs of those training undies they are a little thicker than regular undies but are made of cloth. She has been using those and other than a few accidents so far she has done remarkably well!. I would suggest the training undies to anyone with the same problem because they are like regular underwear but little thicker to absorb more of the accidents. They are also are easy to hand wash for after accidents. So if you have to go to a laundry mat to do wash it saves you some money!

the only thing i can think of is when you see that she is going remind her to pull them down... i started with underwear so she knows how to pull them down

I agree, I'm trying to potty train my 2 year old son and the pull ups don't work for me either. I have him running around naked and that works well and then I brought some undies and I'm not sure he's understanding the concept of the undies, yet. My mother-in-law suggested I get training pants which I'm told are thicker than regular undies. I have not gotten them yet but there's a suggestion that could possibly help.
