My daughter will be three in September. She uses the potty every once in a while.. Not very often at all. About 2 months ago I took her to the store to let her pick out "big girl panties." She picked out the ones she liked. When I tried to put them on her she wasn't having it. She threw the biggest fit ever!! Now she wants nothing to do with them. I have tried reward systems as well. I cannot figure it out. What should I do? Please and thank you!

This was very helpful. My daughter does have a baby that pees. I am going to try exactly that!! I hope it works. Thanks so much!

What worked the best for my daughter (I have b/g twins) was a doll that you can give a bottle to and it will "pee" immediately and stickers. I would feed the baby, then say "oh, she has to pee", then sit her on the potty, and let her see the baby "pee". Then I would reward the baby with a sticker and put it on the baby's chest (baby doll was naked). I asked her if she wanted to pee on the potty and get a sticker too. She did, and went. I also stayed in a room with snacks, drinks, and potty chairs so they couldn't run all over the house. In one afternoon, my girl got the hang of it (20 months old), but not my boy. He is just now getting it and they are 25 months. I had to let him go naked for a few days and that worked the best. We did have setbacks here and there, but then my girl would get back on track. She now does all of it by herself (except the wiping). My boy is getting there- slowly. Hope this helps.
