I have a 2 1/2 yr old girl that is just not wanting to potty train at all. i have done everything and still nothing is there anything that i can do. she does not use a potty chair and only likes the big potty.

i also worried about my daughter with the same problem. we started 'training' her a few times and decided to leave it until she was ready. but we left the potty around all the time and in the evenings let her wander around without a nappy for an hour. we could see she knew when she needed to go and just asked her every now and then...'do you need a wee?' then encouraged her to go on the potty. but i must say, she actually preferred to go on the toilet with a trainer seat. we would keep trying her on it from time to time and she took to it much easier. we got her a little step too. the thing is, after she started going to the toilet all the time, she was soon out of nappies all together as she told us she didn't want to wear a nappy for bed either! we were a little concerned she would be bed wetting, but we just took her to the toilet before she went to bed and she didn't have any 'accidents'. she is now three and has been out of nappies for about 6 months or so and also dry at nights. maybe just try to leave her nappy off for an hour (not when she is too tired though) here and there and tell her... if you need to wee tell mommy. then ask her every ten minutes or so or after giving her a drink etc. she will do it when she is ready. make a fuss of her when she does and show her how happy it makes you. good luck. x

Have you tried the potty video. There is one for him and her. My boys really enjoyed it and were interested in trying after that. I have them watch it everytime they are on the pot. They enjoy the video also.
