My soon to be 3 yr old will not potty train , im sorry but if he can tell me he is wet or dirty then he can go potty on the potty right? But he will not go with out a fight my hubby puts him on the potty and Manny will scream his head off the longer he screams the longer my husband makes him sit there. This is starting to cause major fights between my husband and I think give it some time Matt thinks the other, what do I do I just want him trained any suggestions please Ill take all the help I can get ~ thanks ~ Bekah

i was really upset that my son was 3 years old & he still didn't want to use to potty. boys are really difficult to potty train. you just have to be patient. when i first started he did pretty good & then it just stopped. but when he picked it up again he did great. we haven't had a problem since. they just have to be ready. (:

I am in the process of training my son and he is doing great. My trick is i give him a Jelly bean or a dum dum sucker if he goes in the potty.

I just trained my daughter using Lora Jensen's program (google her name and you'll find it). Her book will tell you how to get him going without making a fight about it. My daughter is really strong willed and never went pee on the potty but she figured it out after 3 or 4 days. It's been almost 3 weeks now and most days are accident free. I had no clue how to get started with potty training so I liked having one program to follow.

When I was training my now 3yr old he did great at first then starting fighting with me and screaming when I would put him on the potty. So I let it go for a week then tried again and bribed him with disney cars undies if he would go. he LOVED cars and it worked. might try something like that. something he would REALLY want
