Your child will let you know when he or she is ready... If you want to encourage them to go to the potty go ahead and purchase the potty and let them sit on it and get used to it. Every child is different and go potty at different ages... My twins started pulling their diapers on around 15 months old. I started putting little girl undies on them and sitting them on teh potty but they didnt like the potty so I purchased a seat that snaps on the big toilet and that is how I got them potty trained. I let them wear undies during the day and at night took the diapers away and put the pull ups on and they did very well with that. My daugter Kailey was completely potty trained before they turned 2 in June and her twin sister Hailey I just got her potty trained a couple of months ago. Just be patient and before to long they will start going..
