My son jus turned 2 in April. He has shown NO interest whatsover in learning to potty train. He does have a potty that he uses to store all his thomas the trains in but refuses to actually sit on it to try to go. I purchased a seat that goes on our toilet and he has used it several times, only actually peeing twice. He never really wants to sit on it and we have to distract him with bubles and other things in order to get him to remain on it for any amount of time. He is still peeing very regularly in his diapers. They are soaked with urine an hour or so after being changed. He also still does not tell us when he has to go. We ask him all the time if he has to go potty and he says NO or just doesnt answer at all. How do you know when it's time? I was told to just keep putting him on the potty a few times a day and eventually he would catch on, but I cant see him learning much if every time we put him on it, its a struggle to get him to stay there, let alone actually pee.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
