My daughter is 17 months old and has been daytime potty trained since 15 months. I'm just curious how long it takes to train at night? She only pees once during the night, but I limit her intake of fluid during the day nearing at night. She gets up to 48 ounces per day and nothing past 6:00p. She goes potty at least 2 times before bedtime and wakes up having to go. She is starting to wake up in the middle of her 3 hour nap to go potty. So what are your experiences with night training? How long did it take? Advice please!

That's great! My oldest two kids are 5 and almost 3 and both still wet the bed.

Well, somehow she managed to hold her urine for 10 hours and so far, she has stayed dry for 2 nights.

My daughter was fully potty trained at 2 1/2. We stopped buying diapers and pullups to only use panties. During the day was easy but night time took about a month. You have a lot of laundry to do daily but it worked. A few friends have done this and also worked for them!

Thanks! I limit my daughters fluid intake up to 48 ounces daily (she rarely ever drink that much) and she doesn't get fluid past 6p. She pees only one time during the night, so I hope it doesn't take too long. Diapers are so expensive!

First daytime potty trained, over night

For your child during the day easier to feel that he needs the potty. Therefore, at night he still needed a diaper. Is he a long time daytime dry? And is his night diaper in the morning still dry? Then you can try to get him at night without a diaper to sleep.

Tip: It may take quite long before your child at night potty trained. Do not worry about it. Most children are at night only clean between their fifth and seventh birthday.
