My daughter has NO interest in staying dry....and just turned 3. We prompt her to use the potty every so often, and don't get too pushy about it so she doesn't develop a complex.....it's just not a priority to her. We try the reward system.....but she demands her treat BEFORE she potties.....doesn't really get the whole concept of pottying for a treat. Should we just stop pushing, and just wait until SHE seems ready?/ I have this awful vision of her being the only kid in Kindergarten waring a Pullup!!

Fear not! I am right there with you! My daughter just turned three and will use the potty sometimes on her own with no prompting (this is new) and will sometimes agree to try when we suggest it. I read that making it "their victory," rather than yours, makes success come more easily. Tell her that she should be proud of herself when she goes. It will come in time, as much as we want them to just "get it," I have to think that some kids aren't physically ready as early, while others don't want to stop playing long enough to care. I know they will get it before long!

Every child is different!! My daughter is doing pretty well with it at the moment. We started by limiting her drink intake by only giving her drinks a breakfast, lunch, and dinner and taking her to potty about 15 to 20 minute after. It eemed to work well. After about a month we stopped limiting her drinks and now she will tell you she has to go. I hope this helps it seems to be good for me.

i taught toddlers in daycare for about 2 years and girls were HARDER than the boys! The boys always took straight to it while the girls would have accidents until they were 3 or 4! my husbands little sister is 3 1/2 and she still has accidents and sometimes doesn't want to go while my not quite 2 year old son has been doing great at potty training...they all get it eventually though. my nephew didn't potty train AT ALL until after he was 3 and he just started going on his own. don't give up, it'll happen!

Honestly I have having the same problem with my daughter and she will be three in july. My fiance's mom is having a ok time with her going to the bathroom for her but for me nothing I mean I have even tried bringing her almost 2yr old sister into the idea but nothing. My only idea for you is find a support network like grandparents or if you can daycare.. Or a drastic measure have one week of nakedness it sounds nuts I know but I read a few ppl who did it and had luck I hope I could have helped a lil.
