I started when he was 17 months old!! I got told you have a choice to make either do it now and clean up after your child for a few months or do it when ther are older and don't clean up after them! I chose to do it when he was 17 months but it was A LOT OF WORK!!! I'm happy its over with though and I'm sure you will be to :) good luck.

Hi Kelly, I think that if your daughter is already showing signs and is willing to learn then GO FOR IT!! My 3yr old has only just started going about 2months ago so GOOD ON YOU!!! My husband and his brother were both potty trained before 2.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I THINK THAT SHE IS SHOWING SINGS OF WANTING TO LEARN. SHE GOES INTO THE BATHROOM AND SITS ON HER POTTY STILL HAVING HER DIAPER ON, SHE WENT POTTY ON IT A MONTH AGO ON HER OWN BEFORE A BATH! HER VERY FIRST TIME GOING ON IT, I PUT HER IN THE TUB AND SHE STARTED TO PEE. I TOLD HER NO YOU HAVE TO GO POTTY ON YOUR POTTY! SHE STOPPED AND I PUT HER ON IT AND SHE FINISHED GOING POTTY. COULD THESE BE SIGNS THAT SHE IS READY TO START LEARNING????

I think so. Most toddlers are not ready before 18-24 months. I believe that the earlier the better, but only if she is ready. I potty trained my kids at 27 and 24 months. The first one was a breeze... no trouble at all. With the second one it's been much longer and tougher. I think he wasn't really ready yet and I rushed him :os
I suggest you wait for your baby to show signs that she is ready before starting the training (around 24 - 28 months).
