Yesterday was day 1 of potty training my 23 month old. She exhibited signs for a while of being out of diapers. We waited for the holiday to end. Too much running around & travel made consistency virtually impossible. Into day 2, I am glad that I waited. I was hoping for some help from moms on other daughters at this age. How long does it take for girls to start using the toilet. I have been vigilant about using training pants during day & having her sit every hour. I try to get her to stay put for as long as possible. I am finding that NO MATTER what I do, she has gone potty right before the hour, or right after she was sitting on toilet for a bit. She does however, go back to sit on toilet in soiled pants. I have heard toilet training could be successful anywhere from day 1 up until 2 weeks. Please offer me any suggestions that I might be forgetting, or anything else that could help make this easier. Trust me when I tell you that I have been using almost every single thing that I read about from moms in the Potty Training Toddlers Community. I am implementing a sticker/ tic-tac system with a week - ending reward. I do not wish to use any other candy type reward though...
I did not realize I would be on "SEVERE" clean up duty as much as I am...... LOL! I clean the very, very best I can but with little piddles of potty everywhere now, I am worried that my dog is going to start going to bathroom in house too. Would anyone know anything about that too?
Blah, blah, blah.... Just someone please help me :o
