MY DAUGHTER REFUSES TO GET POTTY TRAINED WHAT DO I DO

My kids were always afraid of bugs so I took loose black tea and placed it in each of her clean diapers in the drawer. Then when it was diaper changing time, I would ask my kid to get the diaper and opened it in front of them and act all scared as if the ants have invaded their diapers. My kid would go and bring another one, guess what? Same thing. So they all decided for themselves that no more diapers mom because ants live in them now. Laugh out loud. They were potty trained in one to two days. I have 3 kids and I trained each one of them like this and it worked like a charm.

My 2 1/2 year old does not want any part of the potty. She can tell me when she has to go, but will NOT "go" on the potty. I tried cute potties and a seat for the big potty, but it is just not her thing. Best of luck, because I have gotten not where yet...
Have you tried a simple praise and reward system? For every time she sits on her potty she gets a small candy ( ie smartie ) if she goes pee 2 and poo poo 3? And now that i am doing this sorta thing ( along with a HUGE!!! song and dance every time he goes pee.. I can see it is coming. ) For sure has to be when they are ready.

sounds like she isn't ready. just leave the potty out so she sees it and gets use to having it around, you have to wait until they are ready. my 2 1/2 yr old will peep on it every so often, she has pooped on it once and that is about it.I just have to go with her pace. she will go up stairs in our toy room and poop her pants and come back and tell me, she is even to the point she will pee in the pull up and she will go and get a new one and change it herself. so she's ready i think she is just being stubborn.

My little guy will also go and hide when he poops. I know when he goes into the kitchen and hides behind the curtains he is doing his business! So if I see him I ask him if we can go and use the potty but by that time it's usually too late.

My 2 1/2 yr old (girl) finds it amusing to go peepee in the potty but refuses to poop! We thought she was ready 6 months ago when she started this, but it has been a SLOW progression! We have found that first thing in the morning if we make it part of the "wake-up" routine she does pretty good the rest of the day, as long as she doesn't need to poop-then we hide.
Best advise I've gotten has been to not pressure her, just make it (the potty) available and be willing to drop everything when the magic moment strikes! Good luck :)

I'm dealing with the same thing with my son who just turned 3. He has no interest in it at all and knows what it's all about. We've tried all the positive re-inforcement and treats in the world but I guess he just isn't ready yet. It's frustrating to say the least! We try explaining to him that he's a big boy now and only babies wear diapers....needless to say he's not falling for any of it. We'll keep trudging along.

I would have to say that she isn't ready yet. Potty training will be much easier for you AND for her if you wait till she shows interest in sitting on the potty. We went through the same thing about 3 months ago and now he WANTS to sit on the potty and go.
