my 4 year old daughter is developmentally delayed with not great speech im trying to potty train her but she wont use the big potty only her own little one im not getting anywhere im new to this site please help

If she will only use the little potty, then let her use it. The big potty is kinda intimidating. If you can try to slowly get her to use it with a potty seat (make sure its comfy). Teach her the signs for potty, pee, or poop instead of the words. I used hand on front for pee and hand on bottom for poop until Ruby could say the words. You could also try the actual signs for it...To sign potty, make your hand into a fist with thumb peeking out between the index finger and the middle finger. Hold the fist out and shake it around a little.
I found bare bum works best, but my daughter was a lot younger, so I'm not sure if it will work for you. You can ask the doctor for additional advice if you need it. I think putting the child on the potty at regular intervals helps them to realize when they have to go potty. I started out with every 30 minutes (when she just turned 1) and gradually moved it to every hour (15 months), she was trained within 3 days of combining routine training and bare bum. Its at least worth a shot. If you still use diapers, get rid of them and use only undies (it gets the message across faster). Best of luck to you and welcome!
