My Son Talks about going...But won't sit still!!

So my son is just 24 months old by a week or so. Since he's been 18 months he has taken an interest in following me to the bathroom and always wanting to flush the toilet and says bye pee-pee afterwards. Since then he leads me to the bathroom and says pee-pee. I ask if he wants to go potty and he says yes. We go through the whole motion of taking the diaper off and sitting him on his training toilet or on the big toilet with the toddler seat. He has peed on it twice and pooped once. The problem is ever since then he thinks he has mastered going to the bathroom and refuses to sit on either toilet. Plus he is so active I can never get him to sit still. Any advice from you experienced mommies? Thanks

Put him in undies and put him on a small potty. The big potty may be intimidating right now. Hand him a book to read while he sits.
