My son is doing extremely well with potty training lately. He stays dry thru the night and during nap time, and it is very rare that he has an accident during the day, unless there is a lot of riding. The only problem is he will NOT wear anything but Pull-Ups!! We have bought him several different types of "big boy" underwear, he loves them in the store but then we bring them home he refuses to wear them. He says he wants to go to school, so we tell him that he can't wear Pull-Ups to school and he says he doesn't want to be a big boy anymore. Is anyone else having this problem? Have you solved it or have any ideas? I don't know what else to try....

I was thinking of hiding the pack of pull ups one night and telling him that they are gone for good..just to see what he does. I have also thought of maybe buying little boxers so he can be like his daddy. Not sure if maybe being the only one to wear buzz lightyear tighty whities is discouraging lol My son is EXTREMELY stubborn and would probably say ok he will go to bed just to get a pull up on. It is worth a shot though! I will try anything! Best of luck to you also ladies :)

I agree with pp..stop buying them. It will save you money and he will have to wear the underwear. Or you could say they are only for bed time so if he wants to wear one he has to go to bed. Most kids I know will not want to go to bed just to wear a pullup. however some kids are stubborn but i imagine the idea of going to bed will get old and he will just wear the underwear. stick to your guns mama! BTW Congrats on potty training!

idk, my son is just starting to potty train and i have the opposite problem (he only wants to wear underwear but he hasn't developed the control yet). but without having the experience, my suggestion would be to simply stop buying the pull-ups. you could either give him a warning of 'this is the last box' or just tell him when you run out that they are all gone. if they are gone, they are no longer an option right? might be a little upsetting for him but kids adjust quicker to things than we do!
